Recently, I've been Diving In to find new friends or other players to tag along with, but sometimes I run into these type of people:Costume Stealers. They're these Uncreative or selfish people who, as soon as you join their party, will Quickly goto their My Moon, open their Gadgets Bag, pullout a Sackbot, set it to Copy Costume Player2,3, or 4, & save it. I have almost been a victim to this nearly EVERY day. Have you been a victim to this? Discuss. :kz:
I guess you could kinda remedy this by wearing as much DLC as you can when Diving in... Unless the costume glitch is still there?Quote:

I don't really care about my costume being "stolen" by friends, so I just give them DLC-free versions of my costume, to do whatever they want with it, but strangers collecting other strangers' costumes is kinda creepy.
Just switch to the basic costume before you die in...
my solution...go naked...sure it isnt as great or fun to be regular sackboy (speaking for myself here) but its only in create mode...so you can always have fun with people with your costumes anywhere else...so its only a minor issue if you're not careful
When in doubt, go au natural as a brown knit sackboy (or chunky brown knit if you're bold enough). No worries then. :p
Yet another good reason not to use dive in (-_-) but that's oneway people make friends...
so i guess like people say if you just have to use dive in best to put on a blank costume
or at least a very simple one, i run around in this costume a lot even tho i can make far more detailed costumes

People generally tend to kick me out before they copy me.
My costume is copyrighted. I'll sue those sly weasels if they're trying to copy my own awesome look.
Why not play em at their own game? Spend a bit of time practicing on your own, shaving milliseconds off the time it takes to whip out a sackbot, steal a costume and make a hasty exit. Having a pre-prepared sackbot as the first item on your "my objects" list would probably help. I'm sure with practice you can become the fastest draw in LBP and leave those costume bandits sprawling in the dust.
funny thing...we should make some PETA advertisements A LA LBP
showing a normal nude sackboy saying something like:
"I'd rather play in *insert default skin name here* then steal someone's costume" or something to that effect :p
A solution patch that would fix this annoyance and the sackbot DLC bug are the sackbots not copying the players costume untill playmode.
But still, costume stealers seem annoying, but I cant ever get online because of latency.
When people see me dressed as Hitler, they normally boot me anyway :rolleyes:
They must think I'm a Nazi - but it's a horror/history costume, in the same vien as Ghegis Khan etc.
They can try and steal it if they want to get booted :p
