Which was More Difficult?

Okay, so I've aced all the story levels in LBP2 (twice) and almost gotten all the prize bubbles (just need both sets of 4 player bubbles which i can't get till psn is back online) so I was wandering what you people think.

I remember trying to ace all of LBP1 was SUPER frustrating, and took me for ever. You had tons of hard to ace levels, like the bunker, serpent shrine, and the fire jumping score challenge (OMG!)

Whereas on LBP2 there really weren't many "hard to ace" levels. I mean I guess Full metal rabbit probably gave me the most trouble, but it still wasn't that bad.. I know I spent a lot more time trying to ace the construction site (not that hard of a level) than I did acing all of LBP2.

So I was thinking maybe it is just that my skills at lbp are lightyears ahead of where they were when I was acing all those other levels, but (due to a ps3 issue I would rather not mention) I've been having to go back and play LBP1 again.. and nope It's still harder...

Anyway what do you think??

I thought 2 was more difficult than 1. I haven't attempted to ace levels in either, but I had more problem getting through 2. I am terrible at this game though.

My opinion Lbp1 is by far harder to ace than 2. I guess to put it in a way you can understand, I thought 2 was much smoother and 1 was rough around the edges. Not in terms of the game itself. But by the game environments. It was just more raw. In lbp1 there are way more times you can mess up and everything is timing timing timing. If your not good at timing then 1 can be a nightmare. Just think timing: the wheel in bunker, the boss w/timed explosives in serpent shrine, the spinning wheels in the castle level(forgot name), and finally the collector he is all about timing. If you didn't do things in the order the game was made you would fail. At least in lbp2 you can do most things different ways. Yes there is a ton of timing to be done in 2, just not as bad.

Lbp2 was a much is easier game but more complicated lol.
I am so happy i took the time this weekend and aced both games and Dlc. Actually when we get back online and somebody wants to help on the 4x marvel Dlc. That's all I have left and I am totally done everything.

Just a little FYI. Where is the world is Avolan centrifuge was the hardest for me to ace of all time.

I think One was harder than Two... since we are all more skilled than when we first found out about LBP at least a bit, and maybe because there weren't as much levels.

Perhaps derailing off the topic a little here, but I also think that LBP1 was that little bit more... fun than LBP2. I mean, LBP2 is absolutely awesa-licious but I think that LBP1 is maybe equal, if not more fun because it was when we were all newbies, when we were all struggling our way through the gardens trying to grab anything but the block of sponge, or only getting 100 points before being blown off in Tie Skipping lol :p. It might have been because we didn't know what to expect from the game, where-as now we have all this talk of Larry Da Vinci and the Negativitron even before LBP2 was released, so we knew the characters and story were like.

Ok, so I started backwards. I bought LBP2 first and then just recently got 1.
Since I already aced LBP2 in what seemed like no time at all. (This was on an alternate account. 3 away on new name.)
LBP1 seems alot harder to ace. There are so many levels where it seems like they are out to get you.
Although, Full Metal Rabbit is my rival.:devious:

But still, In my opinion I'd have to say 1 is more of a challenge to ace then 2.
Especially the Collector's levels and the Construction site and Subway level.

The most hard levels to ace are "LBP1 the bunker" and "LBP2 Where In The World Is Avalon Centrifuge?"
almost ever other level were a cake walk~ But yeah, LBP2 may be just little more easy then 1 tho.

I personally had a harder time acing the story levels in LBP1 than LBP2. However, I didnt think that "The Bunker" was the most difficult stage in LBP1. "The Bunker" was hard but I had a tougher time with "Sensei's Lost Castle" and the "Collector's Lair." I do have to say though that "Where In The World Is Avalon Centerfuge" in LBP2 made me pull my hair out. Lastly, the final boss in LBP2 was a lot tougher to ace than the final boss in LBP1..........

@Denim... Yea I totally agree with you. When LBP1 released the most I had seen about it was a 5 minute video on G4 where they showed part of a level that later became Skate to the finish. I thought "that looks neat, maybe I'll check it out" and then the delay that had to do with the music? and then when It was released it was epic new and different... Part 2 was delayed FOREVER, and for like 8 months in advance of the release I was getting any news I could about it. So other than a couple of different changes to the levels I saw, and the majority of Eve's asylum (which I never really saw in any videos or prerelease stuff) there wasn't really much that was "unexpected" or "surprising".

@Metalpunks... Yea the timing thing has a lot to do with it. Plus I haven't had a glitch kill me yet in LBP2... Part 1 killed me all the time with glitches. Or the game would just break and become unbeatable. This happened to me twice fighting zapido or W.e. trying to ace the serpent shrine.. I would get him with the first 2 or 3 bombs, he would run away, but the barrier would still be there and I had to restart.
BTW the first time through Where is Avalon was one of the hardest to ace, but second time around its not as bad as F.M.R. I think its just because I got tons of practice on that one... (Kinda like how I can still ace the bunker almost every time I play it, from practice)
Another thing that made lbp1 more difficult was that for the ace trophy it required you to ace any level that was possible to ace (including score challenges) I know that most challenges on part 2 are either survival challenges or not hard at all to ace, you don't have the fire pits, or the level with all the wheels you get from boomtown..

Oh god, Boomtown. Thanks for bringing back the memories of trying to ace that level...

I almost twisted my controller in half out of frustration. Stupid moving stalactites... ANd that one little bump in the floor! WHY IS THAT BUMP IN THE FLOOR!? ANd the fact that you have to ace the whole level leading up to it, just to get blown up by being a tiny tiny bit off during the very last section. I was sweating bullets every time in that section...

There was really none of that in LBP2, most levels were relatively easy to ace. FMR gave me some trouble with the tracking laser beams but once you get the timing down they can be beaten. Other than that it was a cakewalk. I also found the final boss of the Serpent Shrine relatively easy to ace once you got the pattern down. It was the rest of the level that was the problem. ANd the stupid electrified wheel in The Bunker was enough to make me chew my own arm off in rage. But by far the worst offender in unbeatability was the stupid Sensei's Castle level just because there were so many cheap deaths. Like the chain lift over the electric clouds, that part was so hard to time. ANd the freaking two sumo guys, I kept getting caught inside their arms and squished by said arms flailing about like mega retardo-copters. But not just deaths were hard about that level. The stupid rollers... I HATE those stupid rollers. Especially trying to climb them in that huge room where they slide back and forth... I fell so many times off them, and opted to pop rather than try to climb my way back up. While the super-cheap deaths of boomtown were beyond frustrating, the rollers still haunt my nightmares.

Where in the World is Avalon Centrifuge continues to be the only LBP2 level I haven't aced. Those heat seeking cannons are always the death of me (whereas the huge robot is super easy)

All the LBP1 levels were pretty easy for me. The bunker was a little tough, but I got through it.

On LBP2 though, I HATED Where in the World is Avalon Centrifuge. Those flamethrowers at the end... Grrrr

Finally beat Where in the World.....and have now aced everything :)

LBP 1 was harder for me, but It'sTrue because 'm Gold at the game now :P before the launch of LBP 2 I played all the story mode, and in The Bunker were I died many times one year ago, I aced it! In mu first try! After that I thinked that I'm now a LBP ninja!

LBP1 is definitely harder in my opinion. I feel like all the new upgrades made 2 a lot easier. I mean with 1 you had to grab everything exactly and couldn't be off by an inch. Now in 2 you can just get a grappling hook, jump anywhere near the object, and you are almost certainly going to grab it. The creatinator also makes it easier to kill badguys. No more having to touch their bubbles to kill them. Simply shoot them from a distance.

I think that in LBP1 there were more things that would punish you for making one mistake.

I personally found LBP2 a lot easier to ace then LBP1.

Acing LittleBigPlanet 1 was a nightmare. LBP1 did have a lot to do with timing and instantly punished you for making a mistake. LBP1 was also more raw and rough whereas LBP2 was more polished and consequently easier. I personally had a greater tine playing through and acing LBP2 because I loved the polish.

lol funny thing is, i aced it without even relising it. i went into the level to colect all the goodies, i didn't even pay attention until i got to the end of the level and it said "ACED LEVEL" i spazed for about two minutes after that. :p XD

so ya, i think lbp1 was harder in gameplay aspect, and lbp2 in the logic and create mode. gameplay because for the whole time i played lbp2 i've yet to repeat a story lvl due to running out of lives. create/logic because i once looked at this dudes level, and you could say my exploded after that... so many WIRES..... *shudders* :frightened:

Little Big Planet 1 was by far harder. In that one I didn't even bother trying to ace the levels, it was too much work, and I occasionally hit a level that I had to play repeatedly to get past it, and it took me about 10 hours(?) to complete. In Little Big Planet 2 the levels were much smoother and I only had problems with the final boss, but the second time around I got it fine. I could ace it if I put in effort but I get too bored replaying the levels, and the story took me about 3 hours(?) to complete. Little Big Planet 2 was easier in difficulty, definitely.
