Lately, music prefrences have become more mainstream, due to overwhelming interest of hip hop, rap, r&b, rock and other geners, from the mass media.
Although I don't have any major problems with this, as I do enjoy many of these genres, I have come to listen to "cinematic" music a lot less. By cinematic I mean music created for games, movies or shows.
I am aware that many orchestrated music pieces are originally created as "stand-alones" and later used for these movies and games, however it still tends to be where most people discover this music.
After reading an old thread about: "what are you listening to", i noticed many people still listen to cinematic music. This refreshing news, i assumed, derived from the fact that most people on this site aquired this taste from the games they play and the movies they watch.
Most games, and many movies, have at least one good song hidden in their soundtrack that only fans of the series may notice, and of course there are those select few that contain a whole sountrack of brilliant songs.
So basically i created this thread so you guys can recommend any good cinematic music you may know of, for myself and others, so i don't have to go through every single game and movie that exists.
I find that the best cinematic music are ones that can get you to play the game again just by listening to the sountrack. In these circumstances the songs where perfectly developed to set a mood, parrallel to the one of the movie/game.
Here are a few songs I get goosebumps when hearing.....

Around 2:40 is the climax if your not patient. This has got to be one of my favorite soundtracks of all time. Splinter is a series many people haven't played, mainly the younger generation due to the fact that it's no longer on ps3 and they might have been too young to play it on ps2. However this has got to be the best drumming/mixing i have ever heard. This song alone makes me want to do some espionage. If you like this check out the chaos theory sountrack, its all fantastic, or search amon tobin, however many of his songs are kinda weird.

Jesper Kyd is most commonly known for making the soundtrack for hitman and AC2

Jesper Kyd has a wide variety of music, and makes masterpieces of many generes.
These are just a few examples of maybe the lesser known soundtracks that i enjoy. Any post will be great!
