Everyone knows it's important to have a Zombie Plan for when the undead rise up. So, what's yours?
Mine's actually pretty simple, but mainly by luck. I live fairly close to where I work, and that is directly opposite a big-box chain store, so there will initially be plenty of supplies to raid, and also plenty of goods with which to help barricade my office. There is plenty of space in there and a massive second story flat roof which could be made to grow food for the longer term. The location is outside the main city, so there would be far fewer zombies around than in the cities.
Should we need to evacuate the area, there is also a fallback point plan where those who I've chosen to meet and help us survive in the office area would leave and take only the necessary tools with us, plus some provisions, to a forest about 4 miles away. I have the route planned ready so it keeps us away from major population centres and therefore encountering the least resistance.
When arriving at the forest, we use the tools we initially either brought (ideally) or raided from the chain store, or improvised with from the office's supplies, to set up a rudimentry shelter in the forest (a location has been picked out off the beaten track already) and we can live off the land and local wildlife from there, hopefully encountering very few zombies, as they will not be numerous in the countryside.
(For those of you who have NO idea what I'm talking about, check out either Max Brook's book "the Zombie Survival Guide" or at the least, the Red vs Blue video, Zombie Plan.)
So, what's your Zombie Plan?
