^^ This. Best way to get more plays is to ask for feedback or advertise your level. Asking for plays without giving something back in return won't get you very far, which is why we set up the F4F system. It allows something positive and constructive to come of it, and you'll probably learn a thing or two along the way. And what better way to improve your talents than getting feedback from the best online community in LBP? ;) /endshamelessplugQuote:

All you get from being 'popular is 'invites, messages, advertisements, and jealous haters! Seriously, I had a level (the one in my sig) it got relatively popular, about 20th on the cool pages...I kept getting loads of invites, the first one i thought, hmm, i might as well join him, i did, he begged me to make him a level, not even help, just make him a level outright. If i get that just from a level with 1600plays, i hate to imagine what the likes of SBG, poms etc get...

You can't expect to do well. Most everything is down to luck. I'm sure if my new level made it to the cool pages, I could get a couple thousand plays, but meh. You think 'how did that level ever get there?', but what happens is just that there are 200 just like that one, and only 1 of yours. Chances are yours will never be seen.
I too think there should be something done about the showcase. Too often, a creator will forget to check for F4F. Perhaps some notification like when you get a PM or something, for every post made in your showcase threads. Maybe have an option when you post to notify the OP or something.

To get more plays, help others out, they'll see your signature and play your levels. :)
