The NEW Crown Glitch

I earned my Beta vest with sweat blood and tears... Maybe not all that, but I did participate in beta!

i think she deleted the level?idk i clicked on the liink and its gone..hedgy had a hard time finding it XD
sooooooooo,we won?

I'm on holiday anyway, so I will never wear these things anyway..
Bet there is a new update before I get back after 2 weeks.

Aparently, I be able to witness King Henry VIIII and his cousins when I get back. just to tell ya, already saw 2-3 when I was looking at the pics on LBP.me tbh

Far from it. Others have stepped up and made their own versions of it, I saw at least three of them in the Cool Levels section alone.

To do the "New" Crown glitch it involves buying/Owning he game Restistance fall on man (or some other Resistance game) And messing around with the RAM (Don't know many details on how to do it) And you download patch 1.00, so every glitch like spawnpop, overload, DLC glitch, PSN id to make your planets inside your pod, ect. I have NO idea why people are so obsessed with a crown, its just a 1 piece DLC -__-

It took me five minuets to get the crown from 1.00 to 1.05 once I knew exactly how, it's not hard, also this glitch can be done with any DLC & if you do it on 1.05 you can have all the DLC & use it.

I had a costume on that my friend doesn't own we did the glitch, & he can bring out the costume in create mode without needing the DLC not just wear it the game automatically thinks he has the DLC so he can do anything with it...hence why I never spread it

Yes, crafty. You could have used this glitch for good. I am not detailing how, but there is a good & bad side to this glitch. (You might know it, might not) I have known of this for a long while, but thought it was patched in 1.05 (the overlord patch). And, as shadowstarkirby said, you should have reported it, not given everybody a fake crown.

O noes! The rare crown has been released! MM please patch it! Btw, when I went to this random level, I got crown but it made me feel guilty so I deleted it when I went back to pod. Then my friend played it and got the crown! He keeps talking about it and I got very mad so I reported him as a lier and crown stealer. This has got to stop or otherwise LBP2 will be as bad as LBP when the first scam showed up.

I'm sure we've all been informed about the new glitch in the LBP community, a level by a person that somehow gives you a fake crown and PSP Week one shirt. I don't know if MM is trying to block it out or what, but I don't think anything has been or is being done to patch, mod, whatever, the level, to stop it. Now, I don't know how the glitch is done, and I don't wanna know. If I want a crown so dang badly, I'll make a more decent level than what I have. But I do have a few questions about stopping, or modding the level.

1. Is MM just not paying attention, as they're involved with the kayak adventure, what's it called, and LBP Vita? Or are they trying to avoid discussing it?

2. I've never used the "Good Grief" option on a level, and thus do not know the parameters of it. Can we use it on the level(s) to get some attention from MM?

3. How soon might there be a patch for it? Something that will check your costume, and reset if you have on DLC you don't own? Will MM wait until the score patch and toss this in with it?

I think #3, it will be included in the scoreboards patch BECAUSE the crown glitch takes advantage of the Overlord glitch. (The new one.) So, yeah.

The crown is not kept after you reboot LBP so it is not permanent. You can grief if you want but MM won't be taking action as I am pretty sure that Sony handles griefs. Mm is also working on the move pack and after they are "stepping away" from LBP.

You can probably expect a fix in patch.

Chill its only been "discovered" for about 2 days or so.

MM is aware of it, but they can't make a patch to fix it overnight, but they are pretty quick when a DLC bypass glitch has been discovered (this is actually the third one i think, these things apply to ALL DLC but its just the rare DLCs that are exploited) its usually around a week or 2 when a patch is made to fix it, which is quite a fast response IMO.

The good grief can work on elimintating these levels (it did to the first one) since these levels are a bannable offense (and will most likely lead to account and system bannings to these level makers) but unfortunatly it takes awhile (since it took 2 days to take down the original)

Personally if you are the sociable type on LBP, I think you should just take a break from the game, since 90% of conversations in-game is basically going to be about this. (Which is what I'm doing, i need a break from my project and Maples got some big new content thats pique my interest)

maybe mm could do something nice when reporting a glitch,like a free costume?
