Sorry about my lack of photoshop skills but you know what I'm getting at >_>
it was the thought that counts
I'm telling you guys, it's Anonymous, out for revenge.
Kinda surprised how a hacker is taking stuff seriously. I mean, if this is about lbp, then that's just highly stupid.
Also,do we have to change our password?
That's what I was thinking. What could someone possibly want from a LBP forum that's so important it requires this* unless it's a personal thing between them and CC and this is just a little power show of their's.
*not that they've really done much, the forum is still perfectly useable, just frustrating to navigate.
made a movie cause i have nothing better to do my sad, sad life.

I actually talked to the hacker earlier. They're not that bad. The original e-mail was something about the hacker warning CC that the site was 'in danger'. When CC didn't respond or acknowledge the e-mail, the hacker decided to show CC just 'how much danger' the site was in. He got a reply from CC after that, sent his reply, and as of a few hours ago, the hacker was waiting for a reply.
The hacker was a member here about a year ago by the way.
I'm sure CC is on top of it. We just need need to be patient while he sorts it out.
And we have an awesome movie to watch while we wait thanks to Kog. :D
edit: Here's a funny picture as well...

Eh, not buying it. The message clearly talks about an "offer". Showing CC how easily the site can get hacked isn't exactly an offer. My guess is that these hackers were trying to sell CC a stronger site protection, CC either denied it or ignored it and they're showing him how weak the websites security is.
I think you all over thinking this, It was just Aliens
Well, it seems as though Anonymous has finally attacked LBPC... jk :p
But still... sorta makes you wonder what's really going down here. I mean, I had a feeling that this was going to happen, but exactly what they're asking for remains a mystery to the rest of us. If this is for something that happened on LBP, then it's pathetic. If it's something that happened here or on another LBP-related site, it's concerning. But if this is something else entirely... I have a bad feeling about this. And I don't like standing on the sidelines.
I almost feel tempted to trace the address back to the original IP and send a worm their way (either that or send them a Trojan or some other form of virus). But that'd be mean of me. We ought to wait on word from CC or even the hacker her/him/itself before initiating any action.
EDIT: Yeah, the Planetarium said that LBL and LBN also got hacked, but so far I don't see any major changes to their sites. This attack only seems to be directed at LBPC, for now.
That was last year. ;)
Odd that they would mention it in a thread started a few hours ago. :p
Still, why hack any LBP fansite at all? Sounds like a kid on a powertrip to me.
Hopefully it gets sorted out soon, using the archive to navigate the forums is a bit slow for me.
I'm sorry if this comes off as rude, but this is happening here, and it's happening now. LittleBigPlanet Central, though minor, has been hacked. Its security has failed. And unless action is taken to fix this problem, consider this as only a foreshadowing of what is yet to come.
We better get some details on this soon before I decide to get law enforcement involved...
