All Fired Up! (No Pun Intended)

Here is my tragic story: I was simply floating around in create mode, minding my own business, when a flurry of blank invites from the same sack flooded into my inbox. Annoyed, but always willing to join, I took a look and replied. The sender claimed to be a fan of mine, seeking help for a level. I was suspicious of the sender's less-than-satisfactory answers and uneasiness from my questions, but I foolishly joined regardless.
I spawned in, when suddenly, I knew I had made a critical mistake. I was surrounded by other players, certainly not working on a level. When I spawned, I found my self in a chamber resembling a bubble of some transparent material. I found myself burnt repeatedly, spawning only to die again. Once they left the moon, we returned to the pod, where I continued to hop around, burning. We exchanged laughs, until I realized the effects were more severe than anticipated. They dove back into the level, where I made repeated attempts to leave.
When I finally got back to my pod, I still burned with every step. I tried quitting and reentering the game, but to no avail. I found that, when playing a level, I die immediately. I sent an angry message to the perpetrator, a sack by the name of tWiStEd_mInD_xD, who merely replied with a request for my email and password. After informing him/her that I am not an idiot, I came here.

If ANY of you can help me cure myself, it would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: It seems like this sack has a habit of doing this, (they've uploaded an annoying number of photos of their victims) so if you happen to receive a mysterious invite from this sack, do not join unless you're up for being burnt repeatedly, screenshot-ed, and laughed at by a gang of pyromaniacs. And again, I am cured! I've posted further down on this thread some details on how I was cured.

EDIT: Well it appears I was wrong, a cure is available as the o.p. is fine now. So you can all ignore the majority of this post. I'll leave it un-edited though to preserve the thread in it's complete form. Sorry for any misleading information. - Dave


I really hope I'm wrong but... as far as I'm aware, there is no cure for this particular issue. There was a thread posted about a week ago asking if Mm was going to patch it so I assume there is no D.I.Y. cure. However with some luck a method might be found.

If you have a backup (either usb or ps cloud) now is the time to use it. That or wait in hope for a patch to fix it.

Sorry this wasn't more helpful, I can only imagine the stress this has enduced for you. Moral of the story is, don't go into create with strangers without a backup, and if you do... don't go out of hover mode.

Oh also... instead of naming them on here, you should probably just do a psn grief report... will get you much further as the sony moderators can look back on the events.

Nevermind, I got myself cured by a good friend. Thanks for the input anyway!

You should probably explain how the cure worked so that anybody else with this problem can find the answer by searching.

It would be great if you shared how you cured it as we have had numerous people have the same unfortunate thing happen.

Alright, so the friend of mine spawned the same device used to delethalize sackpeople who intentionally used the lethal sackboy glitch. He prepared an entrance, which was suspended by dark matter and covered in anti-lethalization tweakers, and instructed me to turn off my controller. I did, and after my sack went poof, so to speak, I turned it back on. While I was spawning, my friend was essentially spamming me with tweakers, several of which somehow attached to me. This cured me. Then, all I had to do was pop, and they were gone, as well as my fire-induced SPC! Hopefully my experience will help others in the future! Thanks for the suggestion, Sehven!
