Mmkay, I think we have spread the server too thin over a very large area. I'm probably gonna pull the server down soon for a while and eventually i am going to have to remove the sphere world. people seem to like the cloud world more anyway.
I'm experimenting with the read distance setting now on the server. it's going to be reduced till i find a happy medium. also, teleports and /jumpto may well be dealt with much differently.

Hmm... I want to try before I buy but I can't find a demo for Mac and the PC demo doesn't work with WINE? Anybody know of anything?

Memo, Whilst you are rummaging around in the server could you possibly install this?
SMP Double Doors Mod
Not sure if it was because I had the single player version because it is in the yogbox and it was really buggy. You open a door then try to walk through but it pushes you back out and sometimes it only opens the top or bottom of one door. I removed it because having to click both doors is actually easier.

So, it turns out Spoutcraft on Mac has no sound, I've found a fix so here's a quick tut.
Step 1: Download Spoutcraft and keep it in your Downloads folder, don't change the name!
Step 2: Open TextEdit, you'll have to save the code because you have to do this to launch Spoutcraft. Type this code snippet in.
Step 3: Open Terminal and paste the code in. Press Enter.Code:cd ~/Downloads/
java -Xincgc -Xmx1024M -jar Spoutcraft.jar
Step 4: ???
Step 5: Profit!

Just wondering if you could check this out Memo, we had this on Whaaaaale's Server and it was awesome so it would be just the same on yours. This mod allows you to do more organised pvp with random teams, you inventory is saved prior to the game then given back after, there is two game modes Capture the Flag and Team Deathmatch and we can build our own maps for the plugin so this really satisfies everyone's desires. Link.
