HOW TO INSTALL 1.8
- Download: http://assets.minecraft.net/1_8-pre/minecraft.jar
- Start Menu
- Search %appdata%
- Open roaming folder
- Find and open your .minecraft folder
- Replace the old .jar file in there with the leaked one
- Start Minecraft
If you do download the game, do us all a favor and REPORT ALL BUGS AND GLITCHES YOU FIND IN THE GAME! Complaining about the bugs is not going to help. If you want the official release update to be working smoothly, then help Notch and all of us out by finding and reporting the bugs.
Also, post screencaps of your gameplay so others (mainly non 1.8 players) can see the update's changes. Screencapping bugs and glitches are even better.

The 1.8 pre release is awesome but, what was Notch thinking when he removed the fog toggle!?!? I can barley play with this lag!! D: I hope he adds it in again.

I'm loving 1.8 :D Started a new world, in a swamp forest (It's full of trees) and on one side it's a HUGE mountain. And when I got to the top, there were valleys, and more to the mountain :) And ravines. Have yet to go underground, but enders still freak me out, especially when I don't notice looking at them, but I did, so they teleport to me
