I'm still trying to figure out why the /warps command won't list any of the warps we have. so that may be out for a while.
EDIT: fixed
I second everything Speedy will have said in the post below this.
Time to rant:
Spoiler - Ranting. Complaining. But doing it humanely
I would say more but I'm trying very hard right now not to start some fight over something that may carry over onto the server. That's the last thing that I want.
Sounds like this marshmellow scrub needs to be banned. How did he get perms in the first place? And since he did, how didnt you guys?
As said by Speedy, "Nobody has perms except the people who were online at a lucky time. (Including the above stated Marshmellow23) That means that we now have a random running around being able to do things but long time players (such as Fyre, Tan, and I) can't do anything until a mod comes online."
I completely agree with this, and it makes me want to play Skyrim.......... :(
I have now aquired the Mine of Craft. :kz:
Yay Brem, Oh and Marshmallow did not know the minerals were GDN's and has now repayed them, and he meant no harm when he teleported to me while in Oct's House, He was just lending me some planks. No harm done.
And if marsh gets banned, Pwner will not be on the server anymore.
yea. the perms list got screwed. i'm working on it now. and i have no clue why the mods gots no powers. I'll look into it. once i get our player list sorted.
He didn't know they were GDN's... I remember all of us, including you, were basically yelling at him for over 5 minutes telling him to give them back because they were GDN's.
So if his friend who he wasn't supposed to invite (You even told him not to) gets banned from a server he (Marsh) shouldn't have been on in the first place, Total is going to leave out of anger?
Question: Do we really want people like that? From my experience, Marsh has absolutely no respect for anybody on the server. Crafter repeatedly asked Marsh to leave his house. Marsh finally did. Then kept going back in without permission. Quite honestly, I'm done dealing with Marsh. If he refuses to respect the rules and players, then I refuse to respect him. Because respect is a 2 way road.
The Drama...

IT LIVES!!!
Anyways. What is the big deal with random people? Speedy let me ask you a question. Let's say a long time LBPC user came on and did the exact same thing. Would you treat that said person differently? Maybe with a less-harsh consequence? If so, this entire system is corrupt. What does being part of LBPC or not have anything to do with the server? Members of LBPC have the same opportunities to screw someone over as Non-LBPC members. I personally don't see the point of having it so you could only bring one friend with you.
Everything else you said, I agree with however.
I'm Glad the old world is back. Thanks Memo!
Also, about the Minethirst thing, I'm serious.
Actually...
...recalls Speedynutty68
That was from the next post I made. That applies to everybody. I don't care if it's my best friend or some random guy who has been on LBPC for a long time. I treat people based on first impressions and attitude/personality.
And about the one friend thing, that's why I added the part where I said a mod could make exceptions. So people can bring more than one. The first one most likely gets accepted. (The only reason they wouldn't get perms would be common sense really... If they're spamming, attempting to grief, or annoying everybody to no end, they shouldn't get accepted.) But then the next ones after that, a mod has to actually approve of.
perms should be fixed, i need to add the towny perms still, but meh. whatever. i'm having to reload the map cause of the glitch.
also....you know what, i'm just going to ignore you people for now. there are angsty teenage family members at my house to day and i have more than exceeded my recommended dosage of drama for today. Also, I'm out of booze.
Sorry... I'm just a little irked about how people have been behaving today... I don't mean you guys. But people I know at school. Basically, not a good day. Therefore, I bring my 'bad' attitude to the internet to make myself feel better.
Also I can unload all my problems on other people... :p
What does that have to do with Random People?
Still makes no sense. Why does a mod have to approve your other friends? Do you really have that much trust in our moderators? What can a mod see that I can't see? Do they have the all-seeing eye? My friend can play "innocent" in front of a mod, get accepted, and go haywire all up in your bases. Not to mention the fact that the said person would have to join the server right? After all, we are talking about Non-LBPC players right? There would be no other way for a mod to "see" the other friends unless they were to join.Quote:

Of course, let's not forget the fact that mods hardly ever come on the server. So you're getting mad at the fact that you have to wait for permissions because mods are inactive, yet you seem to think it's ok that my friend and I can't have a jolly good time on Minecraft because we have to wait for a mod's approval, which can take a while.
EDIT: I'm not trying to be pessimistic at all here. But this server is on the verge of rule overload. The server has way too many rules and if you want/feel the need to add more, then you have to look at it from everyone's perspective. I mean, it's almost like Wallstreet up in hurrrr.
A bit off-topic but what's up with the nav bar?
http://gyazo.com/81924206600071e9f8d...png?1327541265
I just answered you first question.
As for the second, the mod approving is to keep people who are just going to do as Marsh did out of the server. None of us want people like that. Everybody was mad at him. Many people wanted him to be banned. ipad(something) is another one. He would constantly ask for perms and wouldn't listen to anybody. It didn't matter if somebody had come on or not, he would ask for perms. I told him at least 10 times in an hour that nobody was on to give perms. I'm pretty sure nobody wants people like that in. They get annoying. They constantly ask for people to give them stuff they should get on their own.
If you ask me, this server should be for LBPC members only. But that's because I think of it as the LBPC server. But a few others think the same as me.
EDIT: For the nav bar thing, do you mean how LBPC XP is up there twice...? Because I noticed that a few days ago, too...
Well, according to PWNER.... He was raging that he was gonna get banned. So my assumption is that he wasn't looking at the screen when we were screaming? Another thing, I believe Marsh is Pwner's brother, therefore if Marsh gets banned, Pwner has to go along with him.
Not my decision! I just rather have Pwner on the server then not. I told him to talk to Marsh.
Lets end the drama :)
Yeah, we've been off for a while, but now Kernel and I are starting to come on more and more. Next week in particular, when my college will let me sleep more, I can be online for much longer. But like I keep saying;
YOU CAN GET HOLD OF ME AND ASK ME TO COME ONLINE AT ANY TIME. TWITTER, EMAIL, ETC.
same here. link to my twitter is in my sig.
You make some sweeping, unfair and just plain wrong statements, I get 2 hours of Internet a night on weekdays and I spend all of it on minecraft, Whether or not other people are on at that time isn't my fault, You don't seem to realise (or care) that we have our own lives, I don't have the ability to be on whenever I want, but I can't change that.
Dear lord I leave for a few weeks to study and I come back to a drama-athon. Figure something out guys before it over-poulates the thread.. I dont want to sift through 4+pages of arguments to find a post I want to read. My suggestion is that Bans without warning or question are in order for those who dont obey the rules. If they happen to be out of LBPC, it doesnt matter, they can still screw with your stuff. We are being a bit elitest here ( as I see it) in which we are assuming that letting ANYONE who isnt a member of the site will end in chaos, we should be able to trust those out of our community.
MY POINT IN BREIF: Permanently ban anyone who isnt obeying the rules, regaurdless of if theyre from LBPC or not., as soon as they do something wrong. It's their fault if they don't read the rules...
I do understand (and care) that people have lives outside of videogames. But in order to carry out mod abilities, one has to be online. And quite frankly, I don't think that you're online enough to do this. I haven't seen on online on the server for a long time. The last time I did /seen on you (About 5 days ago) you had been off for more than 2 weeks. If you came on at least once during your 2 hours a night, I might reconsider. But I seriously don't think that you're doing your job well enough to keep it. :/
I'm not in charge of this stuff. So it's not my call.
I'm not trying to start a huge argument. I even said that in my original post. I'm just stating what quite a few people think.
I don't remember ever bringing things up about bans... I just personally think we should limit the amount of people somebody can bring. Mags bringing Total is fine in my opinion. But Total bringing 2 friends from outside... That's just wrong in my eyes.
Considering you don't even give me the courtesy of reading my post I don't see why I should pay you any attention, I spend ALL 2 HOURS of my Internet time on this server, just because noone is on when I'm on isn't my fault. The fact that I wasn't on for 2 weeks was because of a little something called exams, which unlike you actually mean something to me.
So I'm not fit to be a mod when I spend all the time I get on the Internet on the server, but Dasbas who has been on once since we switched servers is fit to be a mod?
Power envy doesn't suit you Speedy.
I was going to go check out your server, but after reading this thread im afraid that I might get permabanned simply for logging in :p
No you're not. Your dedication is nice but you just don't have enough time to be a mod. Not to mention you're way too clingy to the title. Everytime someone accuses you of being a poor mod, you go crazy and start insulting people...
...like here. I don't play the server anymore, and even if I did I wouldn't want to be a mod. If memo asked me to be a mod I'd ask him if he was okay. And in the strange situation I did become a mod, I would only ban people who broke serious rules, and it'd have to really bad for it to be permanent.
Kernel, you really need to change your attitude. A moderator should be someone people look up to and like, someone who enforces the rules. Yet every time I go onto the server and even right now, you're causing (or the center of) drama and arguments.
If a mod was able to do his or her jobs, half the problems going on right now would have never happened. I'm not saying you're a bad mod, it's just that you don't have the time to be one.
Memo, once you have the time, you really need to see what you can do about all these problems. Not the plug in problems, or the bukkit problems, but the problems relating to the players. Make more people mods, take the powers away from others. All of Whaaaaaale's servers went to hell when people started turning against one another, and I'd hate to see that happen here.
I did read your post. And now I think you're not fit to be a mod because you're lying to get out of this.
Do you even know what the /seen command does? It tells the user the exact time that the chosen player has been offline for. 5 days ago, you were somewhere around 11 days. It was probably more than 5 days ago. It was whenever I showed GDN Octs island. Now try saying that you spend your time on this server. Nobody sees you not because you're on when nobody else is. Nobody sees you on this server because you don't play on this server.
And how do I envy your power? I don't. I'm just an upset player. And I never said that you guys would lose your modship. I wouldn't argue you losing it, though. But I called for a vote for a new mod. What I see, is 2 people trying to keep mod powers to themselves.
You think I envy you. But at least I'm not power hungry.
I hate to jump in, but I have been on much more than once since the server switch. You simply haven't cared to see who was and who wasn't on.Quote:

Before anything else, I'd like to make an apology. As being one of the inactive mods on the server, I apologize for making an unannounced leave for the majority of December. That is entirely my fault and I shouldn't have gone without notice. I had left due to a busy schedule and a lot events going on during that time, but I have no excuse why I told no one. That is entirely my wrong-doing.
On the topic of this debate, I must say, with the update to 1.1 with these new permissions, it sure would be nice to have an "active" mod give me permission, if it's possible. I fully understand if you have a busy schedule and all.
Actually those arguments almost always come about because someone has broken a rule and then decides that I'm being unfair by enforcing that rule, its very rarely anything else, This argument I'm not the cause of, sure I'm continuing it because I think it's unfair.
I'll happily 'do my job' if people inform me of the problem rather than running straight here and complaining that all the mods are crap because they may have other responsibilities, I mentioned on the thread that I was having trouble downgrading, but apparently having a legitimate excuse isn't a legitimate excuse, I know I overreact when people say I'm rubbish and I don't mean to be, and I'm not going to make any excuses for that.Quote:

Again, about the 5 days ago: 11 days ago thing. Due to downgrading issues.
I'm for the idea of promoting someone not in the GMT timezone.
Take a look at my quote again.
I said you can't be a good mod because of how little time you have to spare. You need to stop bringing up things that have nothing to do with what I say.
This is true but it's also being part of a rule enforcer. No-one likes being told what to do, even if it's the right thing. If you can't handle that, well, it's another reason you're not the best choice for a mod.
Arguments seem to follow you Kernel, and it's for more reasons than you trying to be a mod. There was the whole Console War thing for example.
I mean the drama. It worked on your server because that's why most of them players...well...played. It was called DramaCentral for a reason. It doesn't work as well on the LBPC server though.
Oh boy. Here we go... I can tell right now this is going to go on for ahwile...
What happened to the good old days... ;P
