how are you losing stuff/getting stuff destroyed? i thought residence and lwc solved these problems?

Both places that were being "attacked" didn't have res's, which is their fault. Im pretty sure one of them Res'd their area up, but the other one didn't.

So I booted up my server again today and guess what is sitting there staring me in the face as I spawn... A KITTEH! I've never seen one naturally spawned before. :)

Just wondering, are we ever going to get Hawkeye back?

With the amount of griefing going on lately, Blocklog has been lacking, and sometimes doesn't get the results we need.

Also, Hawkeye has the ability to rollback, so there's no need to rely on someone's word that something was stolen from a chest. It also tracks what items were taken in/out of chests, where as Blocklog only shows if the chest was opened (Most of the time it shows a couple weeks back).

Actually my friend and I are making a texture pack for minecraft based off of the graphics in our indie game since everything in our game is a block too but ours is a puzzle 2d game! It all fell gravity rush

As a mod, Hawkeye is my favorite 'grief fixing' tool. You can rollback, search actions, preview rollbacks first, give parameters to rollback, and much more. If you really wanted to, you could rollback pretty much anything a single person has done throughout the entire time they've been on the server. All with just one simple command.

But that's just my view. Everybody's entitled to their own opinion, right?

HawkEye presented too many difficulties with something else we had installed, so Memo called for a replacement. I have asked to install the Guardian Alpha along side it to try that out, and if not, find another one completely, but I don't know where he is with that.

BlockLog can rollback too, and allows you to undo rollbacks at any time you like, because it names them (undo rollback 3 for example). It just doesn't do the whole map, by the looks of it.

Can we just stop with the griefing now? Ive been griefed for the 3rd time; SF, Magfarm, and my Archer's Tower. This is the one server I can rely on to not get stolen from or griefed, and hey, look whats happening. And what sucks is that IM the only one getting griefed. Like I did anything bad :/ Can we just Ban the people that did this and move on? Im so sick of it. If it keeps happening Im done with this server.

Oh, and I think we should be able to res larger areas. (Such as towns.)

Ask a mod and they will res your town and give it to you. Otherwise you'll get players claiming biomes again, which gets highly annoying.

And I'll keep looking for decent rollback plugins.

Guardian isn't done yet
BlockLog is utter rubbish
LogBlock.. What was wrong with LogBlock?

EDIT 2: I think we should try CoreProtect, and if that doesn't do it for us, try LogBlock again.
Watching the video, this looks incredible. It's so much more efficient than the other plugins, it's so much faster, simpler, safer, more precise... and it doesn't even use SQL!

It keeps dying an needing a restart. Maybe it is CoreProtect after all. Unfortunately I'm unable to remove it, I think, so we'll have to wait for Memo. In the meantime, tweet me whenever it goes down, and I'll put it up again.

EDIT: Oh, okay! I managed to remove it (for memo: I can't remove the directory of the files, but I removed the jar. I also performed a backup of all the other plugins)

That SHOULD clear up the crashing problems...

also, it still irks me that you can't ftp into the server. that was one of the main reasons someone other than me got server access

Good news, companions! Joeyjoeymc and I finally finished Jorrvaskr and Skyforge! There is a portal to it on the second floor of the hub. Anyone can feel free to visit, but only companions may use and protect chests / containers :P

it seems our troubles may have been because of the minecart plugin. I've disabled it. (i also had to delete every instance of a minecart in the world....that was interesting.) we are getting no more 'server can't keep up' messages, however i really can't do anything but wait and see if it starts up again or what.
