Spoiler - snapshot stuff

• Performance improvements, including reduced CPU, RAM & bandwidth requirements.^{[citation needed]}
• Updated Pistons to make them less error-prone, thus they also appear to update slower. This also altered the way Pistons work, so you might have to adapt your repeater delays and similar.
  
  • For this change, pistons now take 2 redstone ticks (4 game ticks) to expand, but they still retract instantly.
  
  
• Added /debug command.
• Signs are stackable up to 16.
  
  • Crafting them now gives 3 signs instead of 1 with the same recipe.

also, since it's getting rid of plugin stuff, it's taking a while to delete the dynmap folder cause it's flippin huge. the server will be back soon enough, in all it's buggy vanilla goodness.

Do we download client or server?

EDIT: Tried to get server, I replaced the 1.2.5 Minecraft.jar with the new snapshot jar. When I run minecraft it says "Updating minecraft" and stops at 90%. I tried deleting the META-INF folder to, but nothing worked. Helpz?

Download only the client file and replace minecraft.jar.

Also, check the GDNVilla Library archive for goodness. ;)

ok, do the normal thing bug fixin' routine and see what happens.

start yer launcher.
click on settings and force update.
wait for it to finish.
exit the thing.
replace the minecraft.jar and ONLY the minecraft.jar
try to log in.

EDIT: Huh. Apparently it didnt update? It worked but the force update reverted it back to 1.2.5.

EDIT X2: Do I replace the files inside the new minecraft.jar or do I replace the jar as a whole?

force update copies all the current stable (1.2.5) files back into the thing, giving you a base to start from for any mods.

go into the bin directory and replace the minecraft.jar file. you shouldn't have to fiddle with anything in a .jar file.

Sorry, but one more question; Do I have to replace (If so, how?) Or do I delete the old minecraft.jar and drag in the new one? I basically need to know how to replace the jar. Sorry for the questions, I just wanna go on the server so bad :cry:

either or. it should ask you if you wish to overwrite if you don't delete it. select yes.

and please give property owners the first crack at destroying their stuf.

Just drag the new snapshot minecraft.jar into your bin folder in the .minecraft folder. It should tell you that there is already a file with that name in this folder, and will ask you if you want to replace it. Click yes.

I got it to work. Here what I did for people with the same problem:

1. Force Update and then enter minecraft. Itll load a bunch of jars. Then exit minecraft.
2. Download the "client" for the latest snapshot.
3. Drag the new jar into the bin.
4. You should now have the old, fresh jar and the new fresh jar.
5. Drag the new jar into the old jar.
6. You will now have the new jar in the old jar if you open up the old jar with winrar or 7zip.
7. The new jar will be labeled "minecraft.zip"
8. Rename it to "minecraft.jar"
9. drag it back into the bin.
10. You should now have 3 jars. Delete all of the ones except the one you just renamed.
11. The one you named "minecraft.jar" should be the only one left. rename it to "minecraft".
12. Start Minecraft!

You're creating too many steps, and doing what you're doing can lead to bugs:

Those guys all quit the server a long time ago because we changed worlds too much. To be honest, I kinda see their point...

Only people I really see on:

gdn, Vini, techieguitarist, Minegav, gray, memo, tan, dayne, joey (somtimes), and frink.

Most of the mods arent even on ;_;

We should really advertise... Maybe ask warlord to post CHECK OUT THE MINECRAFT THREAD on the front page or something. xD

I think we just need to remember this is a LBPC minecraft server.... Not just a regular minecraft server. Half of the people that are on the server don't play LBP anymore... Which makes me run out of topics quite fast.

Welp. Turns out falling into the sea after flying causes you to crash the game and not be able to rejoin the server without crashing again immediately.

Any idea how to fix this, Memo? I can't seem to get access to the console again. It just won't open up :T

Evil with a capital comic sans E.

EDIT: As awesome as that better world generation looks, I spent hours building this railway, and I WILL force you to rebuild it for me if we start yet a new world, Mags.

EDIT 2: Memooooooo. I touched the water in creative mode agaaaain. :c I can finally access the console now, but I have no idea how to save myself..

actually, the way that i fixed it was to delete your data file and let it regenerate. i'll delete ya again.

i'm not playing this until 1.3 because you updated to a snapshot. this is because of all these mysterious pseudo programs I have to install to do so (which don't actually show me the files I need to move and also muck up my symbols).

pseudo programs? all you do to make it work is drop the latest snapshot into the bin folder of your minecraft...folder...thing.
