Your plan was to build a city, and a city is being built. Let people do what they want, I can see were you are coming from with the whole griefing part, but just because someone is cheating for his own house doesn't mean the city isn't working. And to be honest you've cheated a couple of times too. The server is meant to be a place to have fun and if someone doesn't like chopping down trees, cooking cobblestone, etc, then so be it. You'll feel much more satisfied knowing you've built the things you have legitimately and that's all that should matter.
Clay, since you seem to love these rants so much I thought I'd give one a try....especially since in my more awake state I notice a few things you said yesterday that were completely down to lack of thinking :/
First of all I thought it was ironic that in the same minute you said I especially don't care about your stuff and should leave the server if I'm not going to have a contribution, when the only contribution I've had to the server thus far is repairing your shet :/ Your basement didn't rebuild itself when it got blown up and your house didn't de-obsidian and de-flood itself after the cake issues.
Also, you said I should be using my day doing something else with my life, which isn't taking timezones into consideration :/ My day's already over, what do you recommend I do differently at 10pm/11pm when I come on to act brain-dead for an hour rather than catch the end of a film on Film4 or (God forbid) finish some work.
I suppose with you still being quite young I can tolerate the odd whine about Inan, but like spider said, there's nothing really different about your house except for a dog door with no dog to use it :/ And don't bring the emotional stress + morals into this in future because you shouldn't be that worked up over a game :/

Inan and I have since apologized to each other and if you read one of the posts above, Spider_Jew said to drop it, and my lack of reply agreed to that. So I was thinking about buying the game and I remembered this thread. What do you guys think about Minecraft? I've been watching Yogscast so far and it looks fun in multiplayer, but what about single player?
Freaking fun. Must get it. I've had the beta for 3 weeks and I play it everyday.
Singleplayer is fun, but Multiplayer is even more fun. You can PvP, build together, play spleef or just screw around with others by dropping cookies in front of their door and leave them wondering why the hell there were cookies on the ground. :D
I prefer singleplayer, Mainly because multiplayer is really glitchy. It's still fun though, I enjoy it. Surviving on Hard mode is really fun on singleplayer.
ya. but surviving on hard mode with the more mobs mod.....that is just masochistic. Stupid ogres, knocking down my walls.....

EDIT: Does it work with GroupManager? It seems like it's made for Permissions, and I don't use Permissions, I tried using it but GroupManager is pretty much the exact same thing and much easier to use IMO.
Oh btw Whale, the sign protection thing has one major flaw. It does prevent direct borrowing of items but if someone wants to steal items then that is no problem since you can just destroy the block the sign is placed on and use the chest after that.
It don't know about Essentials since I use CommandBook instead of it. But yes, you can set multiple regions, even with parents and the like.Quote:

My only concern with the plug in is that it might cause problems with other plugins, causing errors of the sort.
Also, when you say you use a wooden axe to make an area around the city, then use /region city Whaale how would WorldGuard know where the protection is needed? Or is it much like the War plugin (see the second video in that post for example) were you basically tell WorldGuard that this is one corner of the city, then you move to the opposite corner and it creates a square essentially.
No worry, once you get it down it's quite simple to set up new areas.

So, I get on Minecraft and first thing I notice is that my water is gone inside my house. I got to my "Whole New World" balcony...and I see this:

So, I have been told that there was an accident involving whaaaaale and Inan's house and lava. A command was suggested and used...but the result was not pleasant as all the water and cobblestone within a 100 block area was removed. The water and cobblestone you see is the reconstruction process in work.
I have been told, that upon request, Inan will take the blame.
I don't understand those "incident" or "accidents". lol
How about not messing around someone else's construction? You know, this way nothing would possibly happen...

Nah. Didn't download BigBrother, it all could've easily been prevented if I would've known /undo works, but by the time I found out I had closed the server once to look for backups, so the history was essentially erased.Quote:

Oh man, I've been watching Minecraft vids on youtube for about 2 hours now, and, wel, I seriously want that geme, it looks extremely addicting, I think I got adicted to it by just watching the videos, and its something I'd most likely completly get into. :p
I love building/ creating, I love grinding (Yes, as in any game, grinding mobs or for items, I just do ok, it entertains me. :P), and I love exploring open world games.

I was playing singleplayer, I decided to go explore and take my wolves with me. I got a bit lost and eventually it was night. After a painful journey to find my way back home I saw my pyramid glowing in the dark. Right at that moment a zombie attacked and I hit it. Bad mistake. My wolves attacked the zombie and one of the wolves died :(
Well, I got back into my pyramid, left the other wolf in there (after feeding it) and went back out.
I found about 10 wolves in one place. I took out my stack of bones and tamed all of them. Then minecraft crashed. All the wolves are gone, even the one I left in my house. :(

Anywho, I've been most of the last hour or so, building and mining underground, was gonna build an underground place, but I ended up connecting to a cave, got one Iron Ore, tho dunno what that can help me with, and a ton of cobble stone, so much I don't know what to do with it, any ideas?
(Oh, and I've ran into a few Creepers...I see why people hate them.. xD
