Yep. thats been there since near the beginning of the game.
i don't wanna call you a liar but Ive seen that cycle tons of times and never remember fire being there :/
You can only get fire through an InvEdit program or by using the /give command in multiplayer. :)

Yeah, I have that chainmail armour in my cheating map, using INVedit. It also has minus 30,000 damage so it will almost never run out. (INVedit can change the damage levels, for those of you who didnt know. I even have a red rose in my inventory with a damage bar)
Chainmail armour is awesome, because it blocks ALL DAMAGE until it breaks. seriously. I can make a house out of tnt and set it off with me in the center and i'll be fine. I've also jumped down an enourmous TNT crater, and traveled back up by swimming up a lava fall. Yes, lava.

Well, I encountered snow and apparently rain which was in the biome beside it.
EDIT: Oh no, the snow piled up and ruined my crops.

-No whitelist

How to join:
-Download hamachi: LINK
-Once downloaded open it up. Click on the Networks tab, connect to an existing network, Network ID: TehUberWorld Password: zaciswhack
-Once you have done that, open up minecraft and put in my servers ip address. PM if you have gotten this far :)

You should be presented with this screen, simply change the values of raining or thundering from 0 to 1 to enable them. The rainTime and thunderTime values also affect how long the weather will last, setting them to something like 999999999 will make the weather almost permanent.

don't think that's possible, these are global settings and snow is restricted to a certain biomes
this may sound unsportsmanlike but i find the funnest thing on minecraft is griefing... its just hilarious seeing peoples reactions when they find their house destroyed XD
Not the smartest thing to say on a thread filled with posters who hate griefers... ;)

Don't think so, every new update brings lots of little nice things but never fails to bring all SMP's down due to their dependencies on the mods that need to be updated after each update.

By the way guys, when you maximize your window to play Minecraft fullscreen, press F11 instead of using the window expanding button. This will give the game an ENORMOUS performance boost. For me the game passed from 30fps to 160fps !!!

If you are already in fullscreen mode, F11 make it return to a small window but there are some bugs. Most of the time the window doesn't minimise and stays black. In this game you can use "alt + tab" to get out of there.
Anyhow, the deal is to make sure that when are in fullscreen it's because you entered fullscreen mode (F11) instead of expanding the windows to fullscreen (little square icon on a window).
And if you're on MAC then I dunno. I speak for PCs running windows.
I am using Windows7 and when I press F11 the games just simply closes! XD
The F11 button blackscreens me... Probably isn't a good thing.
f11 does work for me, though it blacks the screen for a couple of seconds while it adjusts to it.
