I was wondering what happened. I came back and the server was down.
It is back up now.
Oh wait, nope, it went down again.
It keeps going back up and down. Most notably when I sign on and land on the chunk that is full of two people's worth of exp.

oh-em-gee jiru! It seems you missed some of your stronghold. It contains an underground ravine, a library, and a mine. O.o

Hey y'all, I figured I'd post my question in here rather than go try to find the answer. I think I already know, but just wanted to make sure.
First, is anyone else experiencing chunk errors, especially on the edges of biomes?
Second, it seems to me that the abandoned mines I've found are buried deep underground rather than being exposed to the surface. Anyone know if this is a bug or a feature?
Kinda seems counter-intuitive to have a natural cave system open up to an abandoned mine. Especially if that cave system is closed off from the surface (i.e. no caves lead up to the surface), which I've found.
And I have yet to find a stronghold or village after rendering a half-dozen worlds or so. :(
Any ideas?
Yes. I assume you mean the ones where you can see though the world but are free to walk on in a stable manner and not the classic "world holes" of SMP.Quote:

It took me ages to find a village and I am yet to find a stronghold, but my best advice would be to keep exploring and searching for flat biomes, as these are the only places villages can spawn.Quote:

For strongholds, I'd suggest... keeping an eye open.
But a lot less rare than that--the Minecraft world can be as big as it wants, but strongholds only appear...Quote:

(For those of you who don't know why this is, there is a crapload of exp in the chunk I was last in. Now whenever I spawn, I end up falling into the void for a moment, with immense lag, before getting kicked off the server...

I had a stack of iron ingots and someone stole about 32 of them. Then I kept them in my inventory to stop them being stolen again, but then I died of starvation and lost the rest. Oh well. :pQuote:

haven't reset the server quite yet. once the backup completes and i make the map reset so it gens a new world you'll be golden.
