Well, it's quite possible to make an emitter emit inaccurately. Simply hook it up to a randomizer which moves slightly, or rotates, and bam! slightly random! Or, you could use a few different emitters that emit object into a slightly different place. But yeah. Would be useful, and super obvious.
I think the sackbot+water=bzzzzzzz*horrificscream*zzzzz thing is just because the sackbots would need more AI built in. For example, how would they know when to come up to breath? Or when to patrol? Plus, I think it's something to do with the way the game is programmed...
