I keep hearing this but i refuse to believe mediamolecule is done patching the game. They just released a dlc yesterday. And the game has a ton of connection issues etc. Are they really done? Is there a link to confirm this? I would rather not have ideas or opinions i just wanna know.

Mm is done with LBP1 for sure, but I don't think they're done for LBP2. They should actually do something about what's left. Hedge Hopping (working for one player) isn't working for multi-player, cool pages should be taken care of, and there's still another creator kit that should be coming.
I found a great plan to finally take care of the cool pages. You have to be spotlighted or fansite picked to appear on the cool pages. They should take out the robot that automatically chooses what levels are in the cool pages.
I stopped reading there, because that idea is flawed. Sharp Tooth decoration? Emos uses that to cover up their forehead. Also, what if we came up with this awesome costume with a custom skin, but we can't make it?Quote:
Another thing Mm should actually do is to disable posting stickers on any costume (they can put decorations on still). It's the only way to get rid of the emo costumes.

@madmarsrocks: Thanks for telling me. I thought they find some hair from scratch, but now I know how they make the hair. Another thing I noticed is that people are making fake crowns. But yeah, trying to take care of that is similar to what California is doing: passing business unfriendly laws.
@fumetsusozo: I'm not the only one who finds the emo costumes hideous or inappropriate. There's a lot of people who are tired of these costumes too. I took out that third paragraph to regret the suggestion. I'm not selfish, and I hate people who view me as selfish. I'm trying to help those that complain too so they can stop complaining.
Now just to get back on track, I say we are already reaching the two-year mark. LBP2 was released after LBP1 was two years and three months old. Even though it sounds like Mm is stepping away, they really do care as there's still work to be done. There's work that needs to be done in LBP1 too, but we're already done with that. It's a ghost town.
Hopefully they will not stop patching LBP2 yet. There is still a nasty game breaking glitch. The best thing you can do is back up your profile every time before you play online. Making a new profile backup every month is a good idea to.
lbp2 is not done with updates. since lbpv and lbp karting is made by different people then we should be safe until the next lbp game by mm. come to think of it. let's take a look of the other lbp games.

Well I would think they'd need a patch for the cross controller DLC.
I'm pretty sure Mm is done with LBP, but isn't LBP2 being handled by someone else now? Like Double Eleven or something? (Sorry, I don't remember who it is exactly, but they're the ones that have been doing the DLC for some time now)
Yes, oh yes. Little Big Planet Vita is not a PS3 game, so Mm should not only monitor the Vita game, but they should also monitor the PS3 game. LBP Karting is a PS3 game however, but it doesn't mean they can abandon LBP2. LBPK isn't the sequel to LBP2. They also have another game called "Tearaway", but that's not LBP related, and it's Vita. So by the time LBP3 comes out, LBP2 will become a ghost town like LBP1.Quote:

this is nonsense. Are you really telling me that they'll stop patching this game even though we are constantly getting DLC for it and the major DLC coming this year adds even more functionality such as cross play and cross control with the Vita. It will continue to get patched
From the way I understand it, no one at Media Molecule is working directly on LBP anymore. There's a group of developers working on the LBP franchise, but we just don't know for sure who is directly managing LBP2 at the moment.Quote:

But didn't Mm say that they were "stepping away" from it for a while? They didn't say forever. So they could come back to it whenever they aren't super busy. It's really weird when people say Mm is "lazy" and "don't care about LBP" when they're really working too much to manage something so large at the moment. Not saying that that's what you're implying, but when other people say stuff like that.

@WESFUN: What made the emo costumes a problem is that half of them are undressed or half-dressed.
So Mm shouldn't do anything about the emo costumes, but they should make patches that can solve other problems. A long time ago, I thought of a good solution to tackle the rating system. Currently, it's either you yay a level, or you give no rating at all. It's unfair to actually yay levels even when they are poorly made. So my rating system is the 1 to 10 scale. Mm should accept that. And for the disabling comments/reviews, I now find it a bad idea. While trolls lost one privelege, they now earned another. They are abusing this option. Whoever suggested the block option where nobody can view levels or profiles of people who blocked you or you blocked, that's a good solution.
So if you see, there's more to do.
