So the first plasma ball uses a branching logic for its pattern. First part is an animation recorded with the touch-screen looping fast. As the player approaches it speeds up so it's very hard to predict the pattern. When you get close enough it switches to a very slow Follower, but once you are out of the Follower's range it returns to the up-and-down pattern (which is very fast). If you run past it too far then when it switches back, it will nail you, so if you get past it, you have to keep it close behind so it stays slow. There are a bunch of sponge logs and some bigger pieces you can use to alter its path and protect you from it, at least while it's slow. You can make it ramp up into the air and run underneath it, holding a piece over your head with grabinators to get by. Once you make it past the burlap sack on the ground, you're basically safe. Then it's on to the next part!
