In Kingdom Hearts 3, the heartless and nobody hoarde will become overwhelmingly huge and start devouring all the worlds simultaneously, the armies led by enormous seemingly invincible Heartless and Nobodies. You'll find out that Kingdom Hearts holds the key to destroying all Heartless and Nobodies once and for all. Xehanort continues to interfere with his motives and his army of Xehanorts. You'll go around rallying an army of Disney across the multiverse for the first time in ever, with Mickeys Castle acting as a hub world. You'll never see this army actually do anything. You won't even meet a large portion of them or visit their worlds, but you will get a nice Codex for them. Mmm, exposition-substituting Codex.
At the end of the game, after killing Xehanort in a fourteen phase battle, Sora will enter Kingdom Hearts. Once inside, Sora will come face to face with the heart of all worlds,Kingdom Hearts itself, who takes the form of magical glowing Sora, because Sora. Kingdom Hearts tells Sora that it can't last much longer, because the Heartless swarm will corrupt it and consume it in darkness, dragging down every existing world with it. But if Sora sacrifices his heart to Kingdom Hearts, their combined power will be enough to do one awesome thing, because the power of hearts and stuff. Sora gets three choices.
1.) Destroy Kingdom Hearts. This will not only sever the links between worlds completely, it will also destroy heartless, nobodies, Keyblades, and anything magical. Everything becomes more mundane, but the worlds would be safe from heartless forever, and cut off from each other as they should be. Oh, and uh, all heavily-magical beings like Genie cease to exist. Sora will somehow survive in this ending, waking up on a Bach FFX style with no closure on how or why or what. It's only happens if you got 100% and played multiplayer enough, though, otherwise he just ceases to exist.
2.) Control Kingdom Hearts. This won't stop Kingdom Hearts from becoming corrupt, but it will allow Sora to overpower the Heartless and completely control them all. Soras body ceases to exist, but he becomes magical overlord of the universe pretty much, and use the heartless to destroy the nobody hoarde which can't be controlled since they have no hearts.
3.) Synthesize. 1 Sora + 1 Universe = Happily Ever After. Soras existence is infused into every heart everywhere, and forces them all to be happy carefree goofballs. Even the Heartless, and even the Nobodies, who all gain tiny Sora hearts. That's right. everybody in the universe effectively becomes Sora.
