This is great to hear! I'm glad this change is being made in LBP2 and hopefully carried over to LBP Hub. If Karting gets the same treatment, then it will be a BIG game changer to it's community! Hopefully this update can be target to more than one LBP game. :)

That's great news. I hope it will be something better than Trending page, so i don't have to always head to the level showcases of forums and check the trending page on LBP.me for nice ones.
However, Is this thing going to happen for Littlebigplanet Karting soon/late, too ? Because the cool pages of LBPKarting always has the same levels and never changes! And the Lucky Dip isn't as improved as this one :)
I suppose it needs changes, too!
Has the stability of the game improved with this update?
I'm excited for this update :) I hardly ever looked at the cool pages. The forum sites and hubs always had enough great levels for me to play. Lucky Dip sounds like a great replacement. Like what was said earlier... maybe the cool pages will heal from this now that it is only in the more tab.
Im skeptical about this. How are aspiring creators meant to get any plays? What advantage is there to it that makes it different from.the cool pages in regards to copied levels? Still there remains millions of copied levels that seem every bit as likely to be found as anything else...
Finally! MM is actually doing something about this! Now to throw a huge celebration for MM for fixing a game in need of help.

One of the main differences between Cool Pages and Lucky Dip is that the Lucky Dip will show a different selection of levels every single time you visit the page. Personally I wouldn't advise relying on the Lucky Dip (or Cool Pages) to get yourself plays.
The simple fact of the matter is that the Lucky Dip section simply isn't big enough to house every single creator wanting to get plays, which is why we removed the Cool Pages and replaced them with the Lucky Dip to offer a greater variety of levels and creators to a player.
Put simply, this is the fairest way that we could recommend random (but not totally random) content to everyone. :)
If you want specifically hand-picked levels of a high quality, you will want to head to the Team Picks.
If you want levels that are more likely to match your own tastes, you should head to Recent Activity and play the levels that your own Hearted Players seem to Like and Heart themselves. :)
I personally have always relied on the Recent Activity section.:) Not only do you find great underplayed levels but you get reviews and picture's too.
I am just happy that Spammers don't have the ability to steal away plays, off those creators who spend more than 3 minutes building a level. :p
I would have thought removing the copy button a while back, would have solved part of the problem (but people tended to jump down my neck when i suggested it)...anyways if this new fix/update works out, then happy days are here again! :)
I'm just wondering could you just have made copied levels ineligible for the cool levels.
Determined players would just copy sections of a copied level from their moon to a new slot. Thus getting around any filter. Having said that, it would be a great deterrent.Quote:

Just remember, there will always be "sub par" levels flooding the cool pages if your bar is raised high.
The lucky dip is just a way to share the plays and to help everyone get recognized, etc etc. So to keep it short lets separate, quantity of various creators on the lucky dip with quality. These are 2 totally separate things and please don't start bashing the lucky dip in a couple of days if it is filled with what "you" would call "sub-par" levels :D

I fear the exact same thing. I rather play a sub-par level on the spot, and help an aspiring creator along the way, than spend my time searching for levels on fan-sites. This brings the joy of discovery back: 1-not bad 2-not bad 3-kinda cool 4-holy moley, I found a hidden gem!Quote:
