I'm excited but my PC's been playing up with Far Cry 2 and Crysis so i'm not sure I'll buy.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to the game, If its as good as its predecessor I'll be enormously happy.
Anyone here play the actual tabletop miniature game? Fantasy or 40K?
If so what do you play and how large is your army, etc...

Myself, I got a rather large Mortal Khornate fantasy army, Three to Four thousand points. I haven't played in ages though, nor touched a paintbrush for a while.
Last year I began toying with converting Chaos Dwarves from scratch but abandoned the project due to time/budget restrictions as well as lack of enthusiasm.

I've got about 4k of 40k 'Chaos' that's LaTD, Marines and my own personal Traitor Guard. Got lots of other models but I like to convert them so they aren't playable, hehehe.

Just wondering while we're talking about Warhammer, don't you think Killzone 2 would be perfect for a 40k FPS? It's dark, combat is harsh there's a cover system.

Couldn't be worse than Firewarrior.

I got an army of Cadians/Steel Legion, Looks small, but takes a surprising ammount of points. Made up of mostly of Elites (Kasrkins and Heavy Weapons teams) Because I didn't want to spent SOOO much money and time buying and painting all the units. FYI, I DO have a baneblade, and I use it occassionally, mostly it just scares everyone and I end up using a pair of Leemans + Additional Infantry.

I don't get it

Dude Ive been a WH40K fan since WAYYYY back... like space hulk days... (before they ever dreamed of having a videogame about it)

I cant wait for this... Oh yea two years from now... WH40k Online... after playing Age of Reconning, I have to say Im super excited about it going 40K...

I never bothered with Warhammer online. Just didn't excite me in the least.
I've been a slave of enough MMO's, if I'm ever gonna be dragged back into that lifestyle, let it be something more rewarding... Like EVE.

IDk ive played a few MMOs and it is by far the best Ive seen.. but to each his own.

As I said, I haven't tried it, so I couldn't judge. Some of the ideas sounded exciting, It just wasn't for me.

Do you play and collect mini's yourself, Madafaku?

I did back in the day... like years ago.. Never really played much, but building and collecting was a nice creative outlet...
mostly just really really detailed painting was my thing...

yeh, i know.

I was more a rules kinda guy. Made loads of new games and such out of the 40k 'engine'.

I even made Apocalypse (well, a better version) a year before it came out.

My version was more like command and conquer, you could buy troops and also buy special abilities to call in. Meant that unlike Apocalypse the set up time was short and things died a lot faster.

that sounds pretty cool man.. I always like the assassinate missions, where you get like a small army and I get my Callidus...

I never lost in one of those, she's grossly overpowered.

y'know, it's just so much fun to blow stuff up!

I'm still waiting for KZ2 so I'm biding my time with the amazing game mods I can get from a 3 pound source game.
