Advanced Focus on Music.

I came up with this idea when I was playing a level with music in, then a character with dialogue came in.

Basically, what you have are two types of music: the Official Music from various Musicians/Bands, and our own music using music sequencers.

What if the official music was able to rip out some of the music sounds, especially the lyrics, to put in our own custom songs?

Let's take the song Ghosts into question: The song has lyrics, but what if we could change the tempo of the lyrics, and add our own background sound to it?

Thoughts?

That sounds great in theory, but Sumo would run into a ton of legal issues most likely. Some artists wouldn't want people to take apart their music in-game like that.

What runner21 said. A lot of people have wanted that feature to just be able to use actual songs (or at least parts) for their levels. I have wanted that too admittedly, but copyright is an issue. It would also give the chance for some people to add some naughty language. Yeah people sometimes do that anyway with recordings and whatnot, but being able to add official songs freely would cause more problems than it's worth. The best we have is to just remake those songs on the sequencer.
