Global Weather Effects
This is kind of a mish-mash of several topics and replies to other topics in the forum, so I thougnt "Hey. Why not make a thread out of it?" and here we are. :)
Basically, this would allow you to apply weather effects to your level. It could have a category in Global Lighting, and the weather effects could consist of:
- Rain
--Set Rain Color
--Set Rain Intensity
--Toggle Thunder and Lightning - Snow
--Set Snow Color
--Set Snow Intensity - Hail
--Set Hail Color
--Set Hail Intensity - Sunny
--All details depend on global lighting
Then you could have a part to tweak clouds:
- Set Cloud Density
- Set Cloud Color
- Cloud Shadow Amount
And, as another topic has suggested, another category for wind:
- Set Wind Direction
--(0-360)
--(x/y/z axis) - Set Wind Strength
- Set Wind Particles
--None
--Leaves
--Ash
--Fog
--Grass
--Dirt
--Sparks - Set Particle Amount
--Sliding scale - Set Particle Color
And maybe something for how it affects everything:
- Affects objects?
- Require tag?
- Affects player?
--Sackboy
--Toggle (Big)
--Toggle (Small)
--Oddsock
--Swoop
...Yeah.

I have seen the LBP3 trailer countless of times and I see rain, wind, etc. I'm sure that they already have implemented weather effects into the game. We saw some in LBP Vita, I'm sure they wont take a step back in that department.
