Actually, I used a ton of layers but I can see by a visible point how its simple.
6/10 Sackboy seems posterized... not a good look.
You can have a solid 7 :P
Still room to improve, but pretty cool :P I think maybe the lighter shading/border could be slightly more discreet :)

meh pretty basic stuff you should work on composition anyway animation is pretty good (i dont even know how to do it XD)
