Making teams in a level?

For quite a time now,i've been searching a way to trigger the new option of a team color in a level but couldnt really find the way doing it, I'm using the ps3 version of lbp3 so I don't really know if the option is avillible there too,but if you can hlp me up i would be happy! ;)

I believe it's just set by player number in versus levels. You will spawn out of the respective entrance.
