Just found this today while browsing through the highest rated level pages. It's incredible how much it reminds me of the good old platformer games on the C64 (especially Impossible Mission) and the early ones on the PC. Anyone who enjoys playing those MUST give this a try.
Unfortunately it has some game-breaking bugs (having to restart all over again after certain unfortunate events), but the overall experience is fantastic and the level is very well balanced. Ingenious use of space and the layout of the complex is very well thought out as well. I can't imagine how much time and playtesting went into this one, it's extremely polished for a level of its length and complexity.
Give it a try (especially if you like hard levels), you will not be disappointed.

I just played the level too very recently. I thought it was amazing! I loved the visuals, the platforming and let's just say, all of it! It has a lot of level-breaking bugs though.
Although it's still awesome!
Hey, sorry to be a bit of an advertising board here, but try out my new platforming level- Mad Metropolis! Be warned though, it's very long and challenging!

Oh! This is completely unexpected!
What can I say... Thanks
To answer to your wonderings:
This level has required a month of work and testing.
It required me so much effort that my activity reached 0% on this and on other forums where I am a member of.
To be honest I never expected it to be a great level (the reason for I didn't mentioned its creation on this or on the italian forum), but the LBP players have surprised me, sending me a ton of PM and friendship requests (a lot more than those I have received due to Legend of a Hero... O_o).
I started to build it because I wanted to practice with motors, sensors, pistons and switches.
It has been built one room at a time, and, I have to say that, I lost half of it due to the failed to load level bug (there must be a post concerning that here around...).
The most curious thing is that I actually have built a remake of Impossible Mission that has passed unnoticed, unplayed and have been low rated (starting with 2 and then 3 stars, tagged CRAP!).
It is true that it was my second level and that I was not very confident with all the edit stuff, but it is also true that (IMHO) it is not so crappy... lol
I guess it is the longest level ever published on LBP, it is very time consuming if you are willing to stop the evil professor...
It has reached 1100 plays thanks to my other levels traffic...
Anyway,
thank you very much for having recomended my level.PSN ID: Miglioshin; Under construction:Platforms Madness 3; I'M IN F4F

Since I reached (incredibly!) the first page I crushed my personal highscore (that was 2.000 and something for M.F.A.ch1 with 15% hearts or something) hitting by now 6.000 plays with about 10% heart ratio.
This is a big satisfaction for me.
Actually Platforms Madness II is under construction, with the hope that it lives up to the first one.PSN ID: Miglioshin; Under construction:Platforms Madness 3; I'M IN F4F

Whoa, I just played this level right now and it was AMAZING! I think it took me about half an hour to finish it and I was never bored. A lot of original gameplay and great use of the MGS pack. I cannot wait for the second part! This level is definitely in my Top 5.
