So dissapointing about the lack of content coming out of Games Convention, and just in general. I would have thought the full on media blitz would be happening right now considering its only a few months away from release. At the same time, I understand that they are in crunch mode to get everything set for the release, so i'm not angry or anything.

The media explosion will probably happen when we have about a month til launch, then it'll get crazy for sure (probably coinciding with a beta expansion/lifted NDA.

Yeah, I was personally expecting the so called 'BIG REVEAL' to happen here. I suppose it'll have to be TGS... Or not at all.

Still, great to see some more footage coming from the game, just makes me want to get my hands on it more.

I really don't understand how people can be disappointed? Yes we haven't had any new news but its only a couple of months till it launches. This late on I think its safe to say we've seen pretty much everything this game has to offer. I can't grasp the concept that people are actually expecting more from LBP. I think we all should be extremely grateful that Sony have pushed this game as hard as is humanly possible. They could have taken one look at it thought it was too niche and only released a couple of videos of it and focused the majority of their marketing muscle promoting a bland uninspiring First Person Shooter.

Oh no, trust me, we're as grateful as anyone to Mm and Sony. But around this time, news about games really starts to roll out. I have no big problem with it, but it seems like they're delaying the media blitz. Particularly with the "big surprise" still looming. (Although, it looks less and less like that exists ever day.)

^ *agree* I'm starting to wonder that they just said there was going to be another big reveal just to hype people up even more. Now, it doesn't seem like something Media Molecule would do but surely if there were any new things they would of announced them at Leipzig...?

Why should they have announced it/them at Leipzig?
They still have around two months to go, and if they want to do it the best way, this little secret won't be revealed until a month or so before the game's release.

My guess is that the media blowout will happen after this announcement is made, not before.

Still, Leipzig wasn't anything more than a public demo, so it isn't that surprising that they didn't say anything.
Letting the public get the game in their hands was, to be honest, enough for them.
Still disappointing though... would've expected a bit more footage...

Not explictly. He kind of implied that one might be coming, and we just overreacted and took it out of context.

I think that it was quite disappointing too. I was really waiting for the BIG announcement they were talking about. Although, we've had some movies, but I think that is wasn't enough.

The "big" announcement was taken out of context in an interview where Alex said he'd like to announce a feature after launch which had the same WOW factor as the original announcement for LittleBiGPlanet. The emphasis was on the fact that there is no big announcement but that he'd like to come up with something which could be announced and would be just as game changing as the original.
