    Default "Trance" Music Level

    Greetings!

I've been writing songs for years now, but this is my first music level, containing an extract from a piano piece I wrote recently for a GCSE performance. I'm really pleased with this, it's rather experimental for in the second half of the piece, I play the music from the first part backwards to get a beautiful melody.

Name - "Trance" Heel Custom Music Level

    PSN - KoRnDawwg

Plays so far: 100+, 23 hearts.

The project Heel itself is run by myself and hopefully one other friend of mine who's also a guitarist, not a songwriter though but he is a great musician. You can check out more about this project at:

Played it tonight and it's just beautiful music! I generally like a little moodiness and melancholy in piano pieces and this one is right up my alley. First time through I thought I liked the first part better but after hearing it again there are some deep emotional sections in the second (when played backwards) that the first part sort of has but aren't as deep for me (does that make sense? It's hard to write in words how I react to music for me.)

It's original? What a fantastic talent to have!

The level design is ok too but the music makes this level shine.

Gave it 5 stars and hearted it because I adore the music.

Thanks for sharing it and suggesting I play it!

Very nice job I agree with morgana, it sounds kinda cool backwards too. Maybe you could add another verse at the end, with the original reversed? Don't bother with the "f4f" lol, i don't consider this feedback :P

  4. Thanks!

Wow... Just wow... I love it. Beautiful, forwards and backwards. You, sir, are getting 5 stars and a heart from me. You should definately compose more music on here. Maybe incorporate a music player into a level!

Thank you so much for the feedback, all! I may do some more but for now, I think I'd better write them my ideas down first. As far as an extension is concerned, I'm not going to do one for the time being, namely because if I do I may as well do the whole song (which is around five-six minutes long, most of which requires an acoustic guitar as well which, as you know, isn't available as a sound sample). Again, thank you all so much, I never thought it would get this much positive reception 0_0

I love the music levels in lbp so I had to do feedback on this one. checked it out today, and really enjoyed it. You have great skill as a composer. Also to make these kind of levels I think it takes more work than people think, so my hat goes off to ya.

    Hey KoRnDawwg,
played your level the other night. Very impressed. its a very nice piece of music. Well done. I havn't done anything like this but can imagine the amount complexity and trial and error that goes into building this kind of level must be immense.

  14. Thanks!

You should try it, it can be easy if you know what you're doing, and once you have that rough idea you can start to improvise a bit. It's fun, yet tricky if you use player proximity to trigger your speakers, like I do. Anywhom, thank you for leaving your feedback and for your nice words

Just gave it a go, it was a beautiful piece. I liked the section where the little "magical" sound, was heard, then I believe it starts backwards. It was very nice.

Great music level, love the fact that you can controll the tempo by running faster or slower. Also, you can listen to it in reverse. A great twist from music levels nowadays. 4 starred, and tagged musical. F4F: The Cave Ruins

You should be proud because it is SUPERB. I applaud you and your ability to compose such inspirational music. Usually, I play something like this and say, "hey, another music level" (no offense) but the fact that you composed this... it just makes it 300% better. Definitely a heart when I get back on LBP.

And please look at my music levels too.
