Well, I got the Dead Ringer,

I've gotta say, its really convincing. Sucks though, you can't cloak, so you'll have to live without it. And Pyros still kill you because the fire reveals you when you get burned (although you take no damage)

But, its really convincing. Many times I got out because this guy was chasing me and I bring it out, they don't even bother checking again

It's not as bad as you think, Sack-Jake, although it is more than the usual number, I usually don't see more than half a team as sniper or spy.

Who here would be interested in a LBPC Steam group? I'd go ahead and make it, but I wanted to get clearance because obviously I'm not making a group if no one's joining.

Yeah.. the random unlock feature its a bit smelly alright. At least it stops people from joining those pointless achievement maps. And its always nice to earn an achievement or get it randomly in a match than cheating......

This new unlock feature does seem a bit weird. I have every weapon for every class except for the classes I can't unlock stuff for or the Sniper and Spy. So if I want, say, the Ambassador, and kill loads of people as a Spy, all that will happen is a random drop, and if that happens, I could just get a second Blautsauger? I will play this soon to test the feature. But it sounds quite stupid.

Yes, Cog, that's how it works, not to mention you might almost never get drops, and in the rare occasions you do, they might be repeats

Well, can someone make the group? I can't, don't know why.

Btw, Pitcard, when looking for servers, look for the map 'achievement_idle'

CreatenPlay and me were doing TF2 and experimenting with Cloak and Dagger and it needs patching. It seems to be that even when cloak has run out you are still invisible.

Not a glitch, mate, it's designed like that. When you run out of cloack, you are out completely invisible, a ghostly outline of your spy can be seen, until you stand still. In other words, the cloak doesn't deactivate automatically.

Hahah! I got everything (without the milestones, btw), plus I got the Demoman's 'Fro. >

I just got the Cloak and Dagger yesterday though, I'm still testing it out and I haven't made any opinion about it yet.

No you could still move about and everything would act like normal. There wasn't even a ghostly outline until we started to shoot each other and then the effect broke when we recloaked and you saw the red/blu shimmer.

Added Sniper/Spy milestone achievements as an additional way players can get the new unlockables

Arena Mode

Added tf_arena_use_queue server convar. Turn this on to get the old queue behavior. Default is off

Added tf_arena_round_time to set a timelimit on the round

Added the userid of the player who built the teleporter to the "player_teleported" event

Fixed player killed event causing server crash

Fixed Spies not being telefragged when standing on an enemy teleporter exit with the Dead Ringer enabled

Fixed attackers seeing the mini-crit particle effect for full crits if the victim has the Jarate effect enabled

Fixed the Ambassador not doing damage to buildings

Fixed Spies disguised as their own team not drawing blood effects

Fixed players killed by flaming arrows not showing the appropriate death icon

So they've made it possible to get the weapons through achievements as well as the random ones. This'll mean if you're still somehow not getting the ones you want, you can always achieve them through the milestones.

I guess no one can argue with that.

Also, has anyone tried the flaming arrows yet??? I haven't, but I'm presuming you just get a pyro to light it? Can someone confirm?

Yeah pyro just lights the arrow with the flamer and away you go!

I've now got all spy updates and everything bar the razorback for the sniper,
