trouble joining friends

my friend asked me to help him complete a level so i said yes but when i tried to join it kept saying failed to connect to players. anyone know what's wrong.

My only guess would be a connectivity issue. Try having him invite you a few more times, if that doesn't work, idk what else to try =/

1. When you start up do u get a You might have trouble connecting to people?
2. do a ps2 internet connection test.
3. If the Nat type turns out to be 4 or 3 then
4. Goto your routers settings and enable UPnP and DMZ

I now no longer get lag/issues with connection on my ps3

This has been a problem for me too ever since the last update. It's horrendous. Even when I am able to join friends or vice versa the lag is diabolical. It even affects trying to open your popit. It took me almost 5 minutes tonight just to select 1 sticker from my popit and place it.

As for playing levels, forget it, there's no chance. When we do eventually manage to load one you can't even move for the lag.

This is the biggest problem with this game and is driving me absolutely nuts.

My connection is the best it can possibly be where I live and I even took the advice in another thread to change the MTU setting to 1492 which some people said cured their problems but it's made zero difference for me.

The only thing I can do in this game at the moment is create. Playing levels is virtually impossible most of the time since the update.
