I guess I have been guilty of bumping my thread, but I was only responding to other posters within my thread. Rather than find each of them and respond personally. Is that a no no? I won't do it if it is. Just would like to know.
Thanks!

Yeah, you can copy the text from the double post into the first post and delete the second one by clicking edit and delete.
Use the multi quote button to quote two messages at once.

I had a look at your showcase threads and noticed nothing wrong. If someone responds to your thread and you respond to their comment then there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

okay, I understand most of this, but what if my level's name changes slightly, and I have to inform those wishing to play it that the name is different from the thread name?

I'm new here, I've tried using the showcase section for my levels both with and without F4F. It seems as though if you post a non F4F level it will drop off the first few pages very quickly as people scramble to trade in the F4F system. On top of that the official answer in this thread as to what to do when your post sinks with zero feedback is to use F4F to send people there.
So if I've got a non F4F post, is it possible to change it to F4F? Also, is it acceptable etiquette for new users to go back to threads where they naively gave feedback for 'free' on an F4F thread and ask for feedback in return?
And what's the point in the non-F4F option anyway? It seems a bit futile.
Please don't misapprehend me; the system is fine. It's just that maybe it should be more clear to newcomers that this forum section is more mercenary than it looks

The F4F option is your best bet for getting feedback from other members. Basically if you do a F4F you agree to return the play and feedback to another creator.
Some creators don't have the time to participate in F4F and opt out making a regular level showcase thread.
I wouldn't say it's mercenary, it's about a commitment you make. You have the option of not doing it too but that has drawbacks as you've mentioned above.
To change a non F4F level thread to a F4F thread, you should be able to go to the opening post, click go advanced and there should be an option to turn the F4F option on.

I guess I'm guilty of this crime, and as far as i'm aware i've only done it once. Every other time there has been a legitimate reason to post, such as responding or presenting new information.
Thanks for the post, it actually clears a lot of things up. I'll be more careful in future...

Quick question... If and when our levels are upgraded from the regular level showcase to the "Cool Levels" thread can we repost the original post in the regular level showcase thread? I've received a lot of tips, advice, and notices regarding bugs and whatnot and I'd hate for the flow of that information to slow down. I noticed that the "Cool Levels" don't seem to receive as much feedback (the replies are a lot less frequent). I was just curious...
