Yes, that’s right – as announced at the start of the week, the Sacktue of Liberty costume is out on the PSN store today, for free!
It’s quite possibly the cutest way of celebrating the United States of America’s day of Independence, this July 4th!
And if the free content isn’t enough to keep you happy, don’t forget that the rather awesome Jon Burgerman Original Sticker Pack is still hot on the PSN Store with its funky collection of Burgerman sticker goodness.
Remember that PSN Stores update one by one around the world, east to west.
We’re in Europe where it’s just gone live, so you U.S folks normally have to wait a little longer for it to cross the ocean![]()

Aw, why do the British get it first?! I mean, it's a celebration of their defeat! Why in the world are they celebrating their humiliating defeat to a bunch of backneck barbarians? O_o

This statement is true.

I want! That's cool the torch actually glows.... could be fun to use in a "mummy" kind of level or a spooky "grab your torch and pitchfork" kind of situation...... I really do like the color of the fabric too.

Sackboy can only hold one item at once - and thats always in his right hand, so thats why no book. I'd rather have a cool glowing torch than a book lol

Nah... then you wouldn't be able to just have the torch, which I'm guessing is useful for all kinds of costumes, while the book... not so much

I completely forgot to download this when I was playing LBP a few hours ago at 12AM!!!
Oh well, I'll get it tomorrow. Can't wait to see the torch! I'm betting it will work well with my newly made awesome sackboy caribbean pirate dude.

It's a great costume; I'll be using the torch for all sorts of things in the future.

"God Bless America! Let freedom-" ding! Lolz.

Ah, Independence Day! The day our forefathers set forth the Declaration of Independence. They day we denied (back then) Great Britain's unjust clench over the chains that binded us to a nation's leader most foul! The day we declared our freedom and indepence from a kingdom which we, the just people, yearned to break forth from thy's cold and bitter grip! The day we exaulted that America, "Land of the Free", is undoubtedly, forevermore, "free" from the old king's claws! Free from a nation whose own burdens they bestowed upon us for the fixing! Free from 50 years of cruelty and hatred henced forth from King George himself! Free! Freee!! Freeeeee!!!!
The same day... that showcases explosives in it's most colorful form? Now that's an American holiday!
Now with my patriotic juices spent, the costume was well crafted, imo. The crown is upon Liberty's flowing hair; the torch glowing radiantly to light this nation's way; the long, flowing dress made... out of cardboard?! Uh... that's new XD. I like everything on the costume (except the cardboard dress, kinda makes the presentation a bit less epic). It sure wasn't what I expected, but nonetheless, is a neat, little surprise altogether. Especially liking the torch! Very glowy. Now if only we could get an Uncle Sam costume...
Have a Happy 4th of July, my fellow Americans!!
(Oh, and for the torch and book combo, think "The Last Crusade".

I got it yesterday and it is pretty cool , especially the torch.
It would have been great if the torch actually lit up dark areas in levels but sadly it doesn't. MM missed a golden opportunity there to make it really useful.
I spent ( wasted LOL ) about an hour last night trying to attach some sort of light to it to enable it to do just that but without any luck unfortunately.
Surely they'll give us a real hand held torch or light soon !! Dya think ??

I believe there are a few glowing stickers you could attach to it if you wanted. For example, the glowing triangle from the Metal Gear Solid pack would make it glow green if you could make it small enough and cover the torch.I got it yesterday and it is pretty cool , especially the torch.
