Basically, if you hear it on a "popular music" radio station, I probably hate it. It's not because it's popular, it's just nowhere near my style.

I know that. If I had to list all the death metal bands that I hate that everyone else likes I'd have a giant list.

Everyone hates Metallica because they suck. They haven't released a good album in 20 years. And even their good albums suck. And that's obviously my opinion because Metallica is the most popular Metal band...or at least in America anyway.

Metallica had two decent albums: Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets. I don't understand all these people singing praises for Death Magnetic, it really sucks. I think their popularity has gone to their heads so they think they can release whatever they want to and people will buy it (sadly, that's about how it works) even if it's total crap. Just throwing that out there.

Death magnetic is the perfect example of "the loudness war" i really don't understand how you can like this

you have to be pretty deaf to not hear that this album is clipped & distorted all over the place

Metallica? Meh, bored of them. There are much more interesting bands, but I see why people like them. They made metal popular again, I guess. I must admit I really like the Black Album, the rest just do not appeal to me anymore.

I HATE Everything Pop And Hip-Hop. Everyone loves this sort of music in England. Why for once some band like "Metallica", (Also my Favorate band) Could get in the charts for once. And all the ACDC Fans around there...

Oh... I love Metallica! And band's like Slipknot. But everone in my class like's "Hip-Hop". And im there with my ear-phones in listening to "The Day That Never Comes" Lol

I hate Rap, Hip-Hop, and pretty much anything inbetween. I don't like country much, but I'm used to it (my parents listen to it all the time). Death metal and a lot of emo bands also go down the shoot too. I think thrash is overrated, but I like it in small spurts. Pop doesn't bother me, unless it is one of those Disney channel people or a boy band. I also don't like ACDC, bite me.

And as a side note, I noticed that neither Iron Maiden or the Who on anyone's list.

Megadeth, Tool, Coheed and Cambria, Iron Maiden, Buckethead, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Iced Earth, I even like some rap but I only listen to it in Saints Row 2.

Crazymario, I'm not trying to change your opinion. I was explaining to you why a lot of people have gotten sick of Metallica. You guys are trying to tell me that I'm wrong. There are a lot of 14 year old Metallica fans, too. I hate Metallica, though. The only song I still listen to by them is Call of Ktulu. That song will be awesome forever.

Oh, I also hate Korn, Slipknot, and BMTH.
