When does the water beta start? [UPDATE - 14 September]
The initial phase of the beta with the existing testers has been underway for a short time, and we're about to introduce the first new wave of testers into the group.
We will be adding 1000 more people into the test this week, all of whom will have signed up last month. Currently we expect the email to be sent out on Thursday September 17th, however this date is provisional (if there's any change we'll try to update as soon as we know).
This is not the final stage of testing, and more people will be added over the coming weeks, so if you are not invited this time around don't give up hope just yet.

Thanks for the link. I hate speculating, but does anyone know how many people actually applied for the waterbeta when the sign-up was live? 1000 seems like a nice round number (and a large one at that!). I'm sure I share everyone's sentiments when I say, "I hope I get in!!!"

Basically the phases are when bugs get fixed and such.

Urgh...considering there were over nine thousaaaaaaaand!!!! applications within the first few hours...bleh.
BUT if it's first come, first serve, then I'll be ok, since I was either first or second to sign up
(and if I was second the first one was already in the OC beta

Yes, but you have to figure that some people probably applied under more than one account. It's not really all that fair, but it's how it goes.

A lot of the original beta testers applied in the first frew hours also as they wern't aware that they didn't need to.
