Yeh i rented the second one and it was awesome
My dad hated it so thats why he still plays the first one!
Anyway yeh the game is fun to hit people of the track and to be a agressive racer!

No that's the second one. The first one is set in the desert.

Eh? I don't get your logic.
The first one was good but lacking in many ways. The second one (Pacific Rift) is the one you want.

Maybe so.

PR is still the better game. Has more value for money.
Although you can probably get the first on for a tenner these days so it doesn't really matter.

I prefer PR, i think the environments in the first game were a bit bland.
There's a lot more variety and probably a few refinements in PR

Motorstorm is a good game, quiet innovative, but Pacific Rift is simply awesome.
First of all it is challenging but still being arcade.
There's a lot of difference in vehicle handling.
It's fun on multiplayer, but more than that, the track design is absolutely top notch.
I define it as the Crash Team Racing of this gen.
There are decades of shortcuts or better, different ways to run the track.
The gameplay can be quite brutal if you pick up the heaviest vehicles, otherwise bikes and quads are smooth as butter.
I really suggest the game.
For my likes it's a 9, with Grid being a 9- and Burnout a 9,5. (referring to arcade races)

I was a HUGE fan of Motorstorm and completed it perfect (first place in ALL races).
But seriously, Pacific Rift is just an improvement over the first game in ALL department. There simply is no possible reasons to play the first Motorstorm over Pacific Rift unless it's delusion, nostalgia or not wanting to get good at a new game. Bring this on your father.
.Currently studying level design!
My best LBP1 levels: (from oldest to newest)
- Ultra Beginners and Girlfriends
- Crazy Train! (hard/normal)(better in LBP1)
- Sack's On The Beach
- A Bark In the Dark (hard and normal)
- Space Sack's Adventures: The Blue Planet (LBP1 only)
- Death Swamp (hard)(LBP1 only)

The first one is good, the second is fantastic.
