You know, there's this magical thing that forums have called the "edit" button. Use it sometime.
Also, most of these physical changes you're proposing would make the thing a ton more expensive, but second analog stick and l2/r2 would be godly. And the screen brightness button isn't useless if you want your PSP to last more than four hours. But I have no idea what the note button is for, it is pretty useless.

Changes type of sound (voice, jazz, dance, etc) when using headphones or mutes volume.
But it is incredibly useful if your PSP is hacked, there are a lot of plugins that use the note button because, as you say, it doesn't do much.

mobile broadband built in for internet gaming wherever you are would be a great feature to include.

That was actually added in a recent update for the Go.
You have a phone or something, that doesn't need wifi to connect to the interent. You can use it like a router for your PSP via bluetooth.

built in bluetooth and mobile tethering sounds amazing. Shame it PSPgo only. Also, the more I think about it, the more appealing digital only sounds. Less disks etc. Retailers wouldn't get the shaft because they could ofer download cards for all games(like Sony is already doing). This gets rid of file size limits so if they make a faster processor maybe you could download 16GB etc. in 1-3 hours maybe.

The PSPgo is really bad AND really good D:
bad:
.really small
.volume button hidden behind the screen
.cramped and badly thought out control layout
.no second analogue nub and no click feature(L3 and R3)
.expensive
.PSN games are kinda expensive
.needs at least 32GB memory
good:
.bluetooth
.sliding design is cool
.L and R buttons look cool and less 'breakable looking' than PSP3000
nice shape and more like a PS3 controller
.save state feature(it should be 'all in one' though so quitting a game with the PS button automatically saves your game even if you turn off the sytem after quitting you click on the game icon again so you can pick up where you left off)
.digital download only is cool and makes it more portableComing soon:

I think that's what they were planning.
But I'm still happy with this '3 free games' thing.

Looked at the PSPgo and kinda liked the design. These are the changes I think it should've had
1. put a second nub where the select and start buttons are and add the click feature to both nubs(L3 and R3) and move both the nubs further apart slightly
2. put select and start buttons identical to those on the PS3 above the 2 nubs
3. remove the PSP logo from underneath the screen and put a circular PS button(like the one on the PS3 controller instead of the semi-circle one currently on the left side of the screen) there instead
4. remove the volume, screen brightness and music(?) buttons from between the L and R buttons. and instead of having volume buttons make the volume control a slider and put it on the left hand side of the console. ditch the screen brightness button and the music button as they're pointless
5. remove the 'inset' around all the buttons and the nubs etc. and keep the surface flat. the insets make the buttons hard to push and the nub a bit hard to move around(i tried someone elses PSPgo)
6. remove the 'hold feature' from the on/off button. It's too fiddly(does the PSPgo have it? I never tried the on/off switch)Coming soon:

I dunno, they work well for youtube and stuff. Its also quicker than clicking buttons so you could quickly adjust it during gameplay and stuff. I played a DS once and slider works all right. In the interest of space it essential imo. Would you agree with everything else tho?

Well, I'd say keep the display and music buttons, as well as hold, since they're all pretty useful (for me anyway).
I can't comment on the other stuff since I haven't tried a PSPgo yet.
I don't really mind how different the controls are...it seems more like a DualShock how it is
