Welcome to secret Sparta, warrior!
We Spartans take special pride in our history, so you better make sure you visit our central library, we can't risk you babbling like a fool about our ancestors, now can we?
Pathway to the Library...
We Spartans also have common enemy. You are either with us, or against us. You are liable for every word of your tongue, friend, so either speak wisely, or do not speak at all...
The Persians, warrior; the wretched, arrogant, envious Persians have set their eyes upon our beautiful lands...god-king or not, warrior, the Persian Xerxes WILL fall...We shall leave them nothing, but take from them EVERYTHING!
In order for you to join us in our battle for freedom, you must undergo severe training, both mental and physical. You must put aside your weaknesses, warrior, and build upon your strengths! Our army must be a fortress, and every brick must be as equal in strength as the ones beside it...you are either the perfect stone in our fortress, or you are none.
We aim for military perfection...Be wise, warrior, and do NOT hinder us!
Pathway to the Barracks...
You have made it this far, warrior, you are now to be considered a true Spartan! Be ready for battle, for it may come at any time of day, night, noon or sunset...Be ready, Spartan, for VICTORY!
Pathway to Assembly Hall
In here, warrior, you will talk of us with other warriors! Feel free to open wise discussions, Spartan...If you are here to speak against us, then be warned, we will not be afraid to erase you from the histories!
Remember...No Spartan is a fool...imperfection is for the weak...Perfection, is for SPARTA!
Good luck, Spartan...We will be watching you...

i saw the edited version of 300 last friday and monday (before and after the weekend) after i learned about it in my global humanities class, and i liked it. some of the events and details clearly were not true, and made just to better the story (3 story elephants, rhino riding, 8 foot xerxes, 10 foot tall goliath mutant, and gross, lumpy, fat guy with blade axes for hands).
also, the real persian war started with 2,000 spartans, and then dropped to 300 (the others were supposed to bring help - they didn't) and the deformed dude that betrayed them was actually not deformed and was a spartan soldier. and the queen never stabbed that one dude.
anyways, shouldn't it have been called 299, since sean bean didn't die?

Yeah 300 was a great movie, and also just the history of sparta is cool. They were a group of strong soldiers.

It is those made up aspects that made it very special to me! Most purely historical movies tend to get boring after about half an houri saw the edited version of 300 last friday and monday (before and after the weekend) after i learned about it in my global humanities class, and i liked it. some of the events and details clearly were not true, and made just to better the story (3 story elephants, rhino riding, 8 foot xerxes, 10 foot tall goliath mutant, and gross, lumpy, fat guy with blade axes for hands).

It was a very unique movie, and I still believe it is the best movie ever made, along with Passion Of The Christ, of course =D
Yes, yes I am! xDstix... you are so obsessed....
I'm ashamed at those who aren't obsessed with this epic movie
<_<
Yeah, I love their history! That alone made me want to watch the movie in the first place...and after doing so, I was blown away! It was the most unique experience ever! =DYeah 300 was a great movie, and also just the history of sparta is cool. They were a group of strong soldiers.

I'm really surprised no one called shinanigans on 300 yet. It is part of Spartan Law (well not really part, it IS spartan law) to have a *** lover in the military. Not *** no fighting...
the movie didn't really project they were *** quite well and focused more on the badass aspect.

The Almighty Spartans were ***?!?!?!?!? I did not learn that in school.
must've posted this at the same time as me, didn't catch it, but just to confirm, in all seriousness, Spartans are not ***?Last edited by bbroman; 09-20-2008 at 11:18 AM.

Clank, you probably shouldn't double post! The admins and mods here don't like that! =O
Just admit it was a mistake before they decide to punish you for it xD
Also, you see that green button labeled "Edit" next to the one labeled "Quote", use that to edit your post instead of making a double post, coz it's against the rules!
