Dangit... Morgana hit that the other night too... It must be seeping up through the gaps, but I didn't think that was possible. The gaps have been an issue with cheap deaths from gas and electric. I'll look into it.
EDIT: OK... I've figured out a work around for the cheap gap deaths. But it will take some work. Right now it's published with the solution on room #3 only, but I will get the change made to the other 8 just as soon as I can.
Also tweaked those cameras again. I still don't like the snap back to the fixed camera, but I can't do much about it.
EDIT 2: Dang it... I had a nice solution for the gap kills. I rebuilt the base of all 9 rooms. When I added 8 of 9, she overheated. Back to the drawing board... I guess that solution was too complex. Hmmm...

OK - Sorry to bump here, but I've made a major update (although to the player's eye, nothing has changed). I've redesigned the base of each room to still be deadly if you're not standing in the correct place on its descent, but to eliminate the "gap kills" once it's in place.
On a side note... sometimes this game drives me nuts. I always go back and re-test everything when I make these kinds of changes, and I'm glad I do... Several of my "chicken-switch" emitters either disappeared or started firing in the wrong place after I finished these changes. Grrr...

Just wanted to note that I'm still completely hooked on this thing! As the top score in all four player groups should indicate
I have to say it - it happens so rarely for me.

Ah, I knew this concept was a great idea when I saw it originally in your other level.
It's great that you went and made a whole level outta it.
Now, I didnt get to spend too much time with it tonight.... I'd intended on spending a good 3 hours or so on LBP tonight, but I appear to be having a random allergy attack (sigh) which is very distracting, so I cant really concentrate on this right now. I'll play it some more tomorrow.
What I did see is very well done. The overall concept is as good as it was in the 00sack level; I think the big thing that so far impressed me the most though was the bubble placement. This isnt something that's easy to do properly; to place the bubbles in such a way to allow for chains to be done... but not to be done too easy, and not to be done into too high of a multiplier, to where it really unbalances the score. Im almost always trying for a high score with any level I play, regardless of what it is, but it isnt too much fun if it's just random bubbles in a buncha heaps, lol.
I'll post some more about this after messing around some more.... particularly if I discover any errors or bugs.... but for now, this is already a 5-star for me, and a heart given.
I'll probably end up trying a buncha your other levels tomorrow night as well, since I've so far been impressed by what I've played up to this point.

Man Im so addicted to this new level of yours!!!!
Spent about an hour playing it last night but I keep getting killed for my greed to get the last few points for the multipliers.
Great idea, excelently executed!
EDIT: Oh and Morgana..... I'm coming for you!!!
EDIT EDIT: OK just checked your score.... you have nearly double mine

Yep... Morgana's score is definitely a tall order. I have tried multiple times, and I can't get out of 4th place.

hehe, thanks Rock! Yeah... I considered a high score contest, but there were so many other contests going on right now, that I decided to let it run on its own merits. However... because of the modular design, I intend to create new rooms and publish sequels, as well as hosting a design contest for one these sequels. So I think the next release of it will also come with a high score contest.

v0rtex, I virtually never EVER offer a review if I don't finish a level. I've been pushed for time in recent days, but I wanted you to know that I've played this for a few minutes, and what I've seen so far is imperious.
There are approximately 1.7 million levels on LBP, and I don't know how many I've played, but this is one level that I will play tonight or tomorrow until Morgana and Adipose are knocked off their roosts!
This level is similar to what the original (unpublished) Hyper Cube was going to be like, and I am amazed that someone has pulled it off so well.
Kudos to you - really, I mean it. Next year's Sackies, here you come!
Well done

Sorry Morgana.

Now let's see someone try to top that (I know it's possible, since I died out of carelessness). I'm starting to get much better at these score comboes.

Meh, I just die holding the bubble buttons too long.
Every single time!
v0rtex, it occurs to me that if your moving objects therm is the killer on this one, it might be worth emitting the rooms directly in place. This would of course require a brief burst of gas to ensure that lingering sackboys don't block the new room emitting, but it should give you plenty more room to play with, if you decide to extend this further.-- ? --

Yep - it's the moving object thermo. And I see what you're suggesting, but I'm not sure I have the stomach for the scope of redesign that it would require. At this point, after weeks of painstaking tweaking and gnashing of teeth, I have the demitter/timer engine working for this design, so new rooms can be easily added / interchanged. But yes, I'm sure if I did restructure as you suggest, that I could add much more diversity into the game. Maybe we can take a swing at it together in OC sometime.v0rtex, it occurs to me that if your moving objects therm is the killer on this one, it might be worth emitting the rooms directly in place. Guys, please believe me, I play LBP for fun.
BUT...
You muthas are gonna go DOWN. Hatred has been implanted, and the hacks that are in the top 5 are gonna be totally vaporised.
I shall return. In victory. Or, more likely, with my tail between my legs!
Great level! Thank you, v0rtex.
