Default Take a look at this!...

I need people that are truly observant and could check up something for me.

Can you take a look at dark matter in one of your levels and see if there's this wierd pixelation on its shader??
It's the first time I noticed it and it freaked me out. I don't want my CPU to be on the verge of dying and such shader problem could be a sign...

Do you see what I mean? Can you check if yours is like that?

    tks alot

I remember when it first appeared in the beta. It looks worse than before, don;t know why it happened, but I think it happens to everyone.

What's the matter is made entirely out of dark matter, and I thought something was going wrong with my level at first. I'm glad this thread appeared. I don't feel as bad now.

So they probably made shaders changes along the way. hmm...

I noticed that the graphical effect inside bubbles also changed some time ago. I think they are optimising some graphical effects to reduce lag and slowdown / tearing maybe.

Anyhow, it must be an optimisation of some kind.

    More like reverse-optimization. :P

I noticed the freaky texture just yesterday. It makes DM look almost... scary. Like I could make some sort of freaky castle using it as a background.

Did you try putting any stickers on it?

Look up the term 'optimisation' please.

    Anyway, that's quite strange.

Weird, doesn't happen to me. I think it must have been some graphic update.

    LBP? With bugs? Unthinkable!
Is this mearly a graphical glitch or can it hinder gameplay/thermo and if it is just graphical how far does it spread from the DM?

Yeah, I played a level yesterday where it looked like that.

However, when I played create mode a little later my DM was fine.

LOL! ^_^ The moment I learned about the cow glitch, my husband said "oh, we totally should make a level out of completely dark matter and have it do different things" I said "YEAH! and we'll call it 'What's the Matter?' ... my friends groaned and 8 hours later, the level was completed. lol.

Anyway, this weird graphical thing seems to have appeared around the time online create was implemented in the game, or at least that's the first time I noticed it in the actual game. I was playing the one pirates level and destickered the giant bone skeleton thing in the one level, and I definitely could see it all over the place. It looks all glitchy and stuff.

I recently noticed this too, I thought I haven't seen it before. Not sure what to say about it, other than it's probably just a random occurrence not intended by MM. And because of this, I suppose making a glittery DM background wouldn't work.

Yeah... couple this with all the 'invisible' darkmatter that 'disappeared' disabling existing levels with the introduction of OC, and you might be on to something!
