Cool "How to make good scenery" Tutorial videos - The Cave!

    Greetings happy gadders!

TheAdipose (me) and Luos_Desruc have made a pair of tutorial videos.
The aim is to help other gadders improve their scenery making skills.

This video focusses on making a cave (which could double as an underwater one).
We cover loads of topics from shape forming to lighting to stickers and many many more.

This is a still of the final cave we will talk you through making....

No matter how many of these videos I watch, I still suck at Create mode... Oh well, good tutorial, though.
And on this day, I shall still fail at LittleBigPlanet!

Add me on the PSN - Failular.

Excellent tutorial, nice and clear, and very informative. Beautiful end result, as well.

Very useful for any creators trying to learn some simple yet very effective scenery techniques, and some advanced stuff as well.

Nice tutorial, you made it look so incredibly easy.

I can see where I have been making the typical newbie mistake of adding by sections and gluing, rather than adding in layers.

The same goes for cutting away with addition in another layer.

I was watching the Thermo like a hawk while you were making the level, and it sure hit home that this method is not only easier, but far more thermo friendly.

By the way,I tried to check out The Puzzling Pine of Puzzlewod and it was locked

Yeah that technique is really really useful - especially on irregular shapes like caves and forests.

Puzzlewood is locked because we are doing a MASSIVE overhaul of the whole thing then gonna re-release.

Sack, the legendary is all up and running though - so give them a go

This guide is very useful, and the techniques used are very effective.
You could (by "could" i mean "absolutely must") make more of these tutorial videos, since there are quite a lot of people who don't know how to make visually impressive stuff, and would love to learn how.

    Great tutorial you two!

  22. Thanks!

Okay, so you got the cave scenery done, how about expanding the cave idea, coming with various of tutorials on for example showing some good cave challenges you can make etc. and at the end come with a full example level...

    Just a suggestion :P

  24. Thanks!
