My Kitchen Themed Level; Need Content Ideas

For my first level project ever I decided to make a kitchen themed level. You start out in a mouse hole inside of a wall where this little mouse guy tells you something about some food or whatever (I haven't figured out the whole plot yet). You exit through the mouse hole into the kitchen and there's an oven and a bunch of drawers. Right now I have a short and simple path to get to the top of the oven consisting of things hanging from open drawers, dual switch winches, etc. but for the most part, the kitchen looks kind of bland. There's not much in the decorations menu I can think of putting anywhere and a normal drawer shelf isn't exactly the most interesting thing ever.

Does anyone have any ideas for spicing my current setup or fun and amusing ideas for the later progress of my level? I want it to be semi realistic looking as well. Thanks in advance for posting anything that helps. I would be willing to post some screen shots upon request if any of you are interested.

Seriously, though, you could do it in a fifties style, modern, country (with cow fabric, though not necessarily the glitch, etc)

Don't be limited by an idea on paper...sometimes you need to look at something and go completely opposite of what you originally intended to find what you actually want.

You can also make your own decorations. There´s many home appliances that can be placed in kitchen, so how about if you build there some of those? Like a blender, toaster, and microwave. It´ll would also be a good thing, if you manage to make them work somehow. Dont forget some random objects that you may find in kitchen,
like empty cans, tumblers, spice jars, dish brush, cornflakes box, etc. :P and if you want a realistic level, the forget things like ropes that pull you up, floating or just stupid looking platforms that have nothing to do with the kitchen nor realism. Make there a realistic obstacles like moving objects to certain location to get forward.
