Whatever you do, don't do it drastically. Resetting your PS3 and/or game data will not fix the issue.

Odd that we'd both get it at the same time... but I sign in every day. I haven't patched in a while. the last thing i downloaded was that tiny LBP patch last wednesday. Why would it stop working now?

From what I've been able to dig up, It's got something to do with corrupted data on the harddrive. If you wipe your hard drive and go back to 1.0, you may be able to avoid having to send it in... that's what I'm trying now.

We're getting that error on anything we try to do within the PSN. I can't see any of my friends, and when we restart or switch user profiles, we get the same error - Signed out of the Playstation Network. Also getting copyright/license error when we try to connect to any on-line type games (ie: Fat Princess, etc.).

EDIT: We have been on LBP all day. Just quit out for a while to do some much needed housework after watching USA lose to Canada . But yeah... it appears to be a server-side issue, (with Sony, not Mm) in my educated opinion.

im not having any problems..but i dont feel like clearing my hard drive AGAIN from lbp cuz i did that to fix the saving glitch

Well at least it's good to know that we're all in the same boat... maybe it's only the north american servers? I guess i better hold off on wiping my hard drive...

yeah Im getting the same error I think its the PSN that is the problem. When I got onto the playstation forums there were loads of people with the same problem.

I am facing the same problems to connect, and also, all my DLC stuff can't be acessed...

yeah me too i started freaking out when my costume was stripped of the dlc used and said i needed to purchase them all again i think'll wait it out if any one gets it to work tell the rest if us

Update... it seems that Sony may have faffed up the leap year, thereby resetting many of the old, fat ps3 models back to 12/31/1999.

This means only one thing. Y2k is real!

I don't know. Some people are still connected, and I was not too long ago, but I just tried again about 20 minutes ago, and the problem started. Boo!

What's wierd is the DLC thing...
Was it only the LBP DLC that was blocked to you? I really don't understand how this can happen. (Totally can happen on Xbox 360 because some updates aren't stored locally). It's just that on PS3 everything is supposed to be downloaded and saved on your hard drive (part of the reason it always take more time to download and install on PS3)

Hey man, I am having the EXACT same problems, I cannot connect to PSN and also cannot use my DLC (It is funny that the DLC is registered in my PS3, proof of that is that I can see the DLC costumes in my popit, yet I receive the message saying I don't own the DLC costumes), not only LBP DLC but my other DLC as well (Which include PSN games and other disc based dlcs), except for MGS4 Database... I just hope it wont make me delete my save data...

Another funny fact is that the data on my PS3 went back to December, day 31 with year being 1999.

I don't have any other DLC than LBP, so I don't know... actually, I have a PSN game... I'll check.
