Solid Journey by Spark151
Testing... Testing... You want to be a
soldier? Well, it'll involve a brain.
The Moment you all been waiting for! (Drum Roll!) Well at least most of your have been waiting for...
Anyways, I've finished up my new level. It's a RPG type of level, so there will be many talking.
You start as a regular sack becoming a recon. Your friend Kent will help you around your journey.
You will go through numerous landscapes and solve tiny puzzles with some platforming skills.
This level is quite different from the rest of my levels! Which is good.
As I mentioned, sadly this level has been corrupted. Sorry for the delay, but it's finished now!
The beginning of the level is the same as the original before it became corrupted. (So don't question how it was before)
I also mentioned a cool puzzle where you get to move the landscape kind of. Well, I remade it and added a new one along.
I would love to see your guys feedback about the level. (Feedback is like nicotine, you become addicted to it.)
I took my time and it took a long time to make. I ran out of ideas, but I got more.
The level is made the way it is. So, if you have problems with the ridged corner editing.
(I'm trying to be realistic because rocks aren't smooth, at least most of the time.)
I would like to thank two people with my new level.
First, Amazingflyingpoo.
After seeing "Shallow Springs", I wanted to create an RPG level, AGAIN!
Second, Spok22.
Who's that, well he inspired me of adding a volcano climate in my level.
I'm so glad you stopped to check my thread! I would be more delighted if you gave me feedback!
Anyways, THANKS!
Thanks to everybody who helped me locate some problems.
1st UPDATE:
Fixed the lava flood challenge. (It's not the best, but it is sure better than before.)
Fixed the "Reset Ship" Switches. (They should work way better than before)
Made two bolts not appear.
Fixed this the speech bubble with the cut off word.
Took out the arrows in one of the puzzles.
Added few minor stickers (Not really noticeable)
The background in the volcano climate is slightly lighter than the landscape. (Now you shouldn't be too confused)
The room where you get stuck usually is , well, I hope it should be fixed. (It may have a problem, but I didn't have problems with it)
2nd Update
The lava chase is fixed. (Because you could fall directly inside the lava without dieing)
Speech bubble fixed, like Taffey mentioned.
Made tentacle eye thinner by a little bit. Like Taffey mentioned.
I think I fixed something else... Anyways there shouldn't be more problems.
MAJOR UPGRADE This is an apology for republishing the level 2 times so far.
I added an extra part to the level. (Meet a new guy, "Virus")
If you get stuck it the room with the two monsters, PLEASE REPORT IT TO ME.
I really don't want this to be broken.
Anyways, I don't think I should have more problems, but if I do, Please tell me. Enjoy the level

Spark, your talents never cease to amaze me.
This is the most complete package of a level I have ever played on psp. It had everything. Platforming, good puzzles, a race with high tension, slick mechanics, perfect camera work, cool characters, and a beautiful art direction. The level design was superb. I only wish I could use that many materials and make it look so good. Your sticker work as usual is in top form, you may be the best there is at using those things.
Everything about this level was perfect from start to finish.
Hands down your best level and that is saying something.
This is one of the best community levels I have ever played if not the best.
You know I'm hearting this.
Great work my friend!!

Hey there,
So as I start the level I first thought this was another Metroid level because of the doors. As I went on to the next room I was like , "Samus!?, Wait no, that's not her." So after the Metroid idea cleared my head I moved on. I loved the training it was fun. I loved the way you made the level terrain move. The first boss was fun and just a bit challenging. So I find the other cave and boy it sure felt hot. It was pretty confusing because it was pretty hard to see the platforms. The dark material of the platform blended in with the background. But, I could find my way through using your sticker placements. The rising lava was very fun and challenging. That was my favorite part. The way the level ended I assume that there is a sequel to this amazing level?
Your level got

and a Heart.

Thanks. I just work hard and try to think of good ideas to fit in one level. This is the most complete package of a level I have ever played on psp. It had everything. Originally, it was going to be a metroid level, but I changed plans a bit... or maybe a lot...So as I start the level I first thought this was another Metroid level because of the doors. As I went on to the next room I was like , "Samus!?, Wait no, that's not her." So after the Metroid idea cleared my head I moved on.
Yes, there will be a part 2. Except, I won't work on it until I'm in the mood of creating another RPG level and thanks for enjoying the level. The way the level ended I assume that there is a sequel to this amazing level?

What can I say, My life isn't so stressful most of the time. I got much time to build a cool level quickly.Wow your a level making machine Spark! You've released 3 more levels since I last released one! I'll go check it out now!
Once you got the basics, you just need ideas.

Wow, I'll have to check this out after I vanquish my massive load of make-up work.
Bah, I'll make a new signature when I feel like it.

I can't believe I'm not thanked... I basicly invented the raising magma on PSP.
Oh well.
This is another great level from you spark! I loved your take on a volcanic rise, you'll have to explain to me how your method of rising works, mine is a sensor circle that hovers above, but you obviously did something different, as your magma keeps going. Nice work on the level all in all, I don't have much criticism except I would have loved a more in-depth shooter approach. Great job!

GREAT level. Loved the open ended approach
2 thing I didn't like:
1. Ship reset switches - I'd just make them automatic(activated by sensor). Just make the radius quite big(most of the room except the part with the ship in it)
2. Moving checkpoint in lava section - Moves WAY too slow. I'm assuming its attached to the rising lava by a stiff rod? If so increase it's length, because when you die, it just drops you into the lava again, there's no time to escape it. If it's raised by piston though, just make it fasterComing soon:

BlueBulletBill:
I knew you would say something like that. Surprisingly, I found out you did this too.I can't believe I'm not thanked... I basicly invented the raising magma on PSP.
I created the lava rising thing, then I played the Imaginenationthon and noticed that you did something like it too.
I would thank you, but I didn't know you did the lava rising thing until later. So sorry about that.
I did it differently of coarse.I loved your take on a volcanic rise, you'll have to explain to me how your method of rising works, mine is a sensor circle that hovers above, but you obviously did something different, as your magma keeps going.
It's difficult to explain. First, you need a magnetic key and a magnetic key switch.
Put the magnetic key on a block. Put the magnetic key switch on another block.
Put a dissolve block on top of the magnetic key switch block. Put the magnetic key block on top of the dissolve block.
Once you access the a sensor switch, it'll make the dissolve dissappear. and bam, no the magnetic key and magnetic key switch are together.
I may explain this process in a tutorial level later.
Once again, thanks for playing!
PaddyJ:
I wonder if you actually tried this out. The ship resetting is confusing to do.1. Ship reset switches - I'd just make them automatic(activated by sensor). Just make the radius quite big(most of the room except the part with the ship in it)
That's the best I can make it work.
Maybe if I find a better way to control them and I'll fix it later.
No, I did not connect it by a rod, I actually had it connect by a winch to a separate piece of land.2. Moving checkpoint in lava section - Moves WAY too slow. I'm assuming its attached to the rising lava by a stiff rod? If so increase it's length, because when you die, it just drops you into the lava again, there's no time to escape it. If it's raised by piston though, just make it faster
As you notice, The checkpoint continues to rise while the lava stops after a while.
I don't want the checkpoint to be high because you can be able to ditch the lava flooding.
Anyways, thanks for enjoying my level

I used that a lot in my unpublished levels. (They are unpublished because I get bored in the middle of them and quit)I did it differently of coarse.
It's difficult to explain. First, you need a magnetic key and a magnetic key switch.
Put the magnetic key on a block. Put the magnetic key switch on another block.
Put a dissolve block on top of the magnetic key switch block. Put the magnetic key block on top of the dissolve block.
