I've been making a Sonic level with the Sonic pack (makes sense huh?). It was all working out really great until, I came across these 2 really annoying things....
I was cutting around the tree you get from the Sonic pack, it was actually looking really good until, I got the annoying This shape is too complicated message, what's the point in that? Mm really should have checked that before releasing the pack. A sticker that you can't cut round because it's too complicated is useless. I can't think of any other use for it then to cut around it.
So I finally came up with an idea, it wouldn't look as good but it had to be done if I was to do this. I cut it into 2 pieces. So I carried on cutting and it was fine, I'd almost finished so I wanted to have a look at the whole thing, only to find out the sticker had moved
. Yes, it actually moved, meaning all the bits I'd cut around were way off. So I went on undo and did it all again. Guess what? It happened again!
. [/END OF COMPLAINING]
Please tell me I'm not the only one who's noticed this and that there's an easy way around it? Because if I can't find a way around this, either I won't release this level, EVER, or it will have a tree that's cut out really badly...

The easy way around: Make less corners. You don't need to be super precise.

don't cut every thing. Cut out the major shapes and use corner edit to tweak. Don't just start at one corner and make your way around the entire edge in one go. make big jumps and make several trips around the object gradually getting more and more precise. the point is to evenly distribute your edits around the edge. A bunch of edits close together will cause the sticker to shift.
Also make it really big. Not to big. Just as big as you can get it and still see the entire thing on screen. mainly so you see if it moves. But it also allows for more precise edits. resize after editing.
I hope this is clear. reading back it doesn't seem so but I can't think of a better way to say it right now. It's to early and there's not enough coffee in me.
It would be easier to show you.

Hey you know what always works for me when im doing cut-outs?...
Shrink and En-large the object your cutting back in forth, ive noticed i dont get this msg when i make it smaller. which allows me to continue editing (cutting) it, but its more harder and less precise though
...
Another idea is to get rid of pieces....Instead of focusing on everysingle bit, cut it down by pieces so you get rid of any extra annoying shapes, K then Hope this helps!

This happened to me all the time after I learned how to use the corner editor. A few months ago, someone (I think it was Prattz) showed me a technique that stops it.
First, make 2 copies of the material with the sticker around it, one thick and one thin and put them behind one-another.
Put the corner editor on the material at the back, and then go into front view.
Start to edit the material at the back, however, you are following the sticker from the material at the front!
This assures you will have the right shape as the sticker on the front material will not move.
The sticker on the back material that you have edited will probably still move, but you can just match up the sticker to the shape.
Hope I helped!

Alright. I'm going to try again. Thanks for the help everyone. And jump_button, why'd you have to show me that? Now my level looks really bad
.
EDIT: Actually, I think I know what it is. My T.V is probably a lot smaller than all yours. Meaning I'd have to make it a lot bigger to cut around it properly...
