Meh... beats the last christmas episode...

I'm all for encouraging writers at an early age but maybe primary school kids are too early... they should open these public scripts opportunities up to secondary/high schools or even as far as universities. It would be great to see a story written by the fans who have a sense of plot, characters, progression and all that jazz XD

I really hope that that wasn't canon though... it broke the angels too much

I think having Fear Her struck from continuity is an acceptable loss.

  5. Thanks!

Yep, that episode was pitiful. I liked it when Christopher Eccleston was the doctor and Doctor Who wasn't being aimed primarily at children.
    And the budget was higher.
    And the acting was better.
And, to me, it was actually quite unnerving.

  7. Thanks!

This is a strange comment to make since a lot of the episodes in the new season are darker than season 1. I agree that Smith does seem to feel a bit childish for the show (bowties are cool, really?), but the scripts by Moffat are not more childish. The acting, meh, I don't think it's bad acting, i think it's weird personalities for the show. Personally I liked the Tennant seasons because it mixed comedy so well with seriousness when Tate was around. I never felt any connection to Eccleston as I found him hard to be serious as I took him as goofy from his begininng jokes and his face that he often made, so when a serious moment came along I was always kind of disconnected from the scene.

Speaking at the TV Guide Magazine Fan Favourites' panel at San Diego Comic-Con today (July 14), the actor revealed that the series's first episode 'Asylum of the Daleks' would be broadcast some time in August.

    © BBC

The confirmation comes after news that the episode will be given a public premiere at BFI Southbank in London on August 14, while it will also be screened at the Edinburgh International Television Festival, which takes place from August 23 to August 25.

Series six episode 'Let's Kill Hitler' was given its first showing at the Festival last year and broadcast on BBC One the following day, with Smith's revelation suggesting that this may also be the case with 'Asylum of the Daleks'.

However, the BBC has yet to confirm an official air date for the new series.

I think all the Doctor actors have done it pretty well. There's none I like more than the other.
although amy is the worst companion ever

I didn't mind Matt Smith, but it was like he was told to be disconnected, yet at times he'd have bursts of uncharacteristic angry concentration and it was almost like a contradiction of his own nature.

    More iron than man.

i thought being mad was his Doctor's thing?
tennant was more....human (?) and then eccleston more aggresive and reckless.

I found it was too conflicting, like one minute.. "I don't appreciate the severity of the situation, I am calm, untroubled..."
Then suddenly, kablam, out of nowhere anger, to me it didn't quite make sense.

    More iron than man.
