Well people kept telling me my CC10 entry shouldn't count because it didn't go back on land again, but it clearly stated in the rules that it didn't have to. My query now however isn't explained in the rules. I've Pm'd fish anyway so I should know soon enough =]

I think it should be disqualified, it encourages cruelty to penguins...

I agree. As an animal lover I find that more offensive than blowing up sackpeople.

Getting a few questions about whether things are within the rules, so I shall just clarify:

- The contraption needs to launch/fire/throw a projectile at the target.
- The projectile itself should cause the destruction of the target.
- The pojectile doesn't have to destroy the target on impact.

However, like always these are more guidelines than strict rules. Ususally, if you think yourself that it probably won't be allowed, then it probably won't be. Always best to ask though.

How is this Contraption Challenge any different then 03?
I mean is anything that was open for Contraption Challenge 03 now not for Contraption Challenge 11 valid?

In CC03 you had to build something right next to the wall. In CC11 you can make it as far away as you want, so the contraptions should be very different!

So that makes 2 of us that aren't sure if our entry counts!

That's okay, I've put 'VOID ENTRY' in the title today, so people know. I'm going to take that entry down (or at least remove CC11 from the title) and replace it with a throwing arm that I'm working on at some point...

Hmmm, I'm taking the 'Angry Birds' challenge, though I've never played it. Could someone explain what all birds do? I saw a normal (red), a multiplying (small, blue), an egg dropping one, and a bird that got an extra boost. Maybe it will become a Cool Page hit! Mwuhahahahahahaha........!

Red - normal
Blue - multiplies
Yellow/green (not sure as I'm colourblind) - speed boost
Black - explodes
White - drops egg

I reckon you could do it if you had a grabbale suface you stand on to both launch the birds and activate their special ability mid-air (because you can still use grab switches when watching a cutscene camera magic mouth). Good luck!

(btw - I don't want to see hundreds of Angry Birds levels, so if somebody makes an awesome one there's not much need for anyone else to do one too!)

Would blowing up a vehicle be acceptable? Chances are someone is driving said vehicle but you can't see them. Worst case it's on auto pilot lol.

In fact, the new bird included is probably a good idea that someone could 'borrow' for their projectile - a boomerang.

Well, as I made clear I think the idea is fantatsic, and the idea alone is certainly within the rules. The bean at least appears to be causing the destruction, even if it really isn't. I suppose the best thing to do is see what everybody else thinks, cause I'll be willing to allow it only if nobody thinks it isn't fair.

That'll be fine. Don't worry about 'killing' anyone int he contraptions - in my eyes even if you blow somebody up it doesn't matter as they're only made out of cardboard (or whatever material you've used).

In the amphibious one someone uploaded a vehicle that appeared to zap the water away lol, I guess it's the same sorta thing as that :P
