How do you think the music creator will work? Will you be able to pick what instrument you want in it and that kind of stuff?

It would be unsatisfactory if you couldn't pick you instrument.
This thread has actually made me quite curious as to how this would work, and really made me think, I applaud you lol

Yeah, didn't the magazine interview (or some other interview) specifically mention music making, but not really mention how this would happen? Huh...

It's not a rumor if it comes from the source.

It will probably be sequencer like in Mario Paint :>

Even if there is none. You could make a line of sounds and mag switches and store it in a microchip. Just send your friends your music microchips!

Thanks!

I wonder how simple it is to do anything a bit advanced in it (I wouldnt be able to use it anyway
). Such as blending notes (I have NO idea of the official terms
), prolonging them, etc etc... some genres would be utterly unpossible to do... such as DnB as Noisia makes it...
(Some call it dubstep... i dont care
)
Ooh,
-s-a-plenty! I'll open my own : D Faic Retail

How today music work :> it's bunch of switches as a head and keys are music data, such such tool is called sequencer, most known format that use sequencing is MIDI, and you ever play with polyphony ringtones you should known them very well
you pick instruments each channel, and as you know LBP1 already have bunch of those, you pick note resolution, bigger note resolution = more complex music score, pick tempo and place notes with specific values on the channel... this is what we already have in LBP1 with switches, big improvement except special UI for it for that would be real deal piano instrument simples, i mean instead of using single points you placing press and release of the key + since LBP2 getting keyboard support recording notes from keyboard would be a blast

You do know that all electronic music is built entirely inside sequencers, yeah? Even a relatively simple one like FL Studio can be used to create dnb (and has been, effectively). Admittedly, most guys in studios are using things like Cubase and ProTools which are incredibly detailed and complex, but still, it can be done.I wonder how simple it is to do anything a bit advanced in it (I wouldnt be able to use it anyway
). Such as blending notes (I have NO idea of the official terms
), prolonging them, etc etc... some genres would be utterly unpossible to do... such as DnB as Noisia makes it...
(Some call it dubstep... i dont care
)Under the circumstances, I've been shockingly nice.
