Steel City by Malhat06
This is Steel City! An industrial platformer full of contraptions and fun. Enjoy. Made in Sheffield, UK.
With this level, the main theme of the level was to try and use as few pistons and motor bolts as possible. I really wanted to try and make obsticals using the physics and Iv'e always liked the idea of LBP being able to create machines that actually work. I have seen a few levels that have made it look like the obsticals are actually working, but not many that actually are.
I live in Sheffield, which is famed world wide for its steel industry and even has the nick name Steel City. So I suppose this is really a homage to the place I live and love.
Really hope you enjoy this level - I have enjoyed making it and seeing things work as they should.
Cheers
P.S - Hope you all really enjoy the 'do nothing machine' (google it if your not familiar with it, took me ages to do haha)

Well I just played this level yesterday, what I liked more was your creativity with the machines, had some stuff I've never seen nobody else doing! (and LoL at the maze part were you get painted if you are failing

Hey I played this the other day and the platforming was awesome, there were some cool new obstacles that are hard to find these days, the do nothing machine was great and worked perfectly
I loved the launching platforms with the bubble combos, after i completed those in the beginning I restarted the level to do it again :P Gave it 5 stars
not sure if I hearted it yet :o

yea i played this the other day. i always love platforming driven levels that only use a few materials, so good job with that.

I must have spent a day playing on them before carrying on with building the rest of the level!
Still, my personal favourite obstacle is the 'do nothing machine'. What a great feeling that was getting it to work

wow, I just realized you were THE malhat who made the all-sponge levels

Steel City was amazing, I still can't believe the amount of great platforming and gameplay contraptions your level had. It was so brilliant, so inspiring! I loved it from the beginning to the end.

Hi all, I've had people leaving messages on the level saying a few of the obsticals are breaking, but I can't seem to find out why.. has anyone else on here experienced any breakages? Stuff like the lifts getting trapped or the monorail type lift that takes you from one area to another not re-spawning... bit worrying..
