Fonts:

Fonts are fairly obvious, you can use them to write in different fonts, a warning though, some fonts are very hard to read when small, so if you use fonts in your post, make sure to click "Preview Post" and check it's readable.

Sizes:

Sizes are another pretty obvious one, in fact, you should have seen lots of examples above where I have used different text sizes.

Sizes allow you to make things BIG or small.

Color

NB: BBCode is written in American English and therefore color tags must be spelled without the "u".

Color can be useful when making a color coded key or just to add more of a variety to your posts, it's also used by many people to hide something without using spoilers, just make your text white.

When using the [COLOR][/COLOR] you can also use hexadecimal color codes. Here's a few examples of hexadecimal color codes:

Those are just two examples I picked out at random, but unless you're some kind of super computer, you won't remember all of the hexadecimal color codes for all of the colors.

Simply find the color you're looking for, and once you've found it copy the code at the top and paste it into the the color tags like so:

Boldening/Italics/Underlining / ~~Striking Out~~:

Using bold, italic and underline tags are incredibly useful for making a certain word or sentence stand out from the rest, or for making titles.

Strikeout has ~~absolutely no~~ lots of uses.

Spoiler - Direct Quoting
Direct quoting is actually much easier and better than copying and pasting in between quote tags, it adds the post number to the quote, so if you press the button it will take you to the post the quote is linked to. Marvellous.

To do this, simply press Reply With Quote beneath the post you wish to quote. It's also possible to quote multiple posts at a time, just click underneath every post your need to quote, then click Reply.

Recall Tags

Recall tags were originally made and used for the Community Game Jam 2010. However, that doesn't mean we can't use them.

Recall tags are very similar to quotes except they will automatically add "...recalls [Name]" at the bottom right.

Sometimes it can be hard to discuss games, movies or books without giving away the ending. So that's why spoiler tags were born! Hoorah!

Unfortunately VBulletin won't let me wrap the following in spoiler tags, how odd:

Rawcode:

Rawcode is probably one of the least known BBCode tags. Rawcode stops all BBCode inside it from working, which is why I've used it tons of times in this thread already.

Instead of saying, for example,

"Paste this in your signature without the '*':

[IMG*]http://a3.twimg.com/profile_images/227871411/LBPCentral_Small_bigger.png[*/IMG]"

You can simply say,

"Paste this in your signature:

[IMG]http://a3.twimg.com/profile_images/227871411/LBPCentral_Small_bigger.png[/IMG]"

...And only the BBCode will show, making it copy paste friendly.

Since you didn't have recall tags mentioned, I don't think you saw this. It's very clear and straight-to-the point so if you want your guide to be better than it than you should be as comprehensive as possible. I also think the spoiler tags and different text sizes for each font are unnecessary.

The different sizes for each font are so you can easily see what a certain font looks like in different sizes.
